TGI melee is really fun. Just had my first game with it, and I was having a good time. Granted I got Reapers thunderdome.

I don't see them in PUG lobbies anymore. Wish there were more of them so that I can put them in their place ....... with my striker+destroyer combo.

He... lacks finesse. Especially with the revenant. Less Ghost, more poltergeist really.
First game I played drew collectors Jade. I was using a slightly different build, with 5 in passives and 3 in stim packs, plus disruptor rounds. It definitely left me lacking against armour, although on the bright side I did manage to slap a praetorian to death. Overall, died far more than anyone playing the ghost should.
Second game I tweaked the build to the one above, and got geth, which went far more smoothly, although getting stunned out of heavy melee three times in quick succession was infuriating.
Overall fun, and well worth trying. I think I need a few more games to really get into it, but at the moment I think I prefer the Havoc's melee build to the Ghost's.

This makes me want to take the TGI for a spin.
What gear do I put on him? Does he carry enough Stim Packs w/o Grenade Capacity?
If yes, I might want to use the Geth Scanner instead.

@MisterGunFighter - I would say there is no need for grenade capacity. I only used mine in tights spots. If you have good awareness 2 should be plenty. Then again, I was in Gold. For Platinum, more might be nice, but I would probably still go scanner or something else.

I like the Black Vindicator on him (EB+EM).

The TGI and the Saber are the only reasons I'm Gold material right now ![]()

5a on stims ain't bad. I think 3 is definitely good enough.

You can use 6/5/6/6/3, with 5a on stims for capacity. It works very well, 3 grenade ammo is good enough on him.
Or you can use the Warfighter Package V if you've it (+12% Rifle damage +2 grenades), and choose the other evolution. I rarely have ever used the 4 stim packs that config allows.

I can't even play this game without geth scanner. That's asking too much

I use the Thermal Scope as a kind of a "mini-Geth Scanner". It's not exactly the same, but detects hidden enemies/Phantoms/Hunters, and leaves the Gear slot open ![]()

I don't think I've ever actually played a TGI Harrier before.
I've done a few TGI PPR/incendiary ammo games, which are probably almost as cheesy, if not more so. And whenever I'm low on consumables, I'll play some matches with the TGI and Saber, for easy credits. I just find running to the ammo crate five or six times a round with the Harrier to be such a chore...

Yeah, but about a million times more fun, at least IMO.

Overpowered? Looks that way, but when you're way out in the scrub brush overpowered looks gooooooood.

Wow, indeed. Just got home from work and figured I'd try out my level 16 TGI for the first time. Ho-ly… Crap... My build is probably wrong since I only have two in the cloak, but Overload really *is* all that! And yes, I used the Harrier.
Lol, yeah, you're definitely going to want to put more than 2 ranks in Tactical Cloak.

I would say if you really want to max out the damage on him, go full cloak as his special cloak bonus is AR related, full damage on the stims, and full weapon damage/headshots in the passives. For the cloak itself, I went damage/melee/AR bonus (regular build, not my melee one). I still do the occasional melee from cloak if I have to and that's why I go with the melee damage instead of recharge cause for the most part, as soon as you cloak you'll be shooting anyway so the recharge for the most part will be it's lowest (which is 3 seconds btw).

Yeah, as Kirrahe explains, you'll want to take it to 6 unless you plan on using something other than an assault rifle on him. He's got a unique Tactical Cloak evo at 6 that gives you a damage bonus on assault rifles not only during cloak, but for 20 seconds after cloak is activated.

Yeah, true. Gotta love laser beams. Also melting an Atlas to death in two cloak cycles never gets boring.

Particle Rifle TGI is also fun (and obviously you only hump ammo boxes for your drug fix)
