The Collector light melee (slow clap) will prime an enemy with biotic energy for a short period, which can be detonated. I've detonated it with Seeker Swarms.

I tried this but wasn't able to replicate it. My guess is your DC jumped to your target just before you launched SS, or you melee threw the target within the range of your DS. Or someone else primed it.

I just tested on Bronze and it did not work for me.  Enemies can survive a light melee + SS with no BE.

Poison strike detonates everything in my experience. The AOE of it is weird though.

PS does not work in a straight line.  The AOE is a circle with radius 2.5m centered 1m in front of you.

Yeah I'm guessing anything that changes colors he is considering primed. IE Nightshade Blades, Poison strike, etc all make the enemy change colors but there is no true priming. I think the Collector light melee makes the enemy change colors as well right?

Probably was Dark Chanel or Dark Sphere as the enemy was glowing green and those are the only 2 biotics that are green. The Collector light melee makes the enemy glow green but I guess that's a visual effect only. I must have mistaken the visuals or something, ah well.

I forgot the the Turian Cabal can only detonate stuff not prime, that was where I went wrong. I was thinking she could prime and detonate with poison strike.

Collector LM: It sure looks like they are primed. I was once sure it would prime but I couldn't pull off detonations.

Ya, I think it's just a visual effect.

It looks totally like a biotic primed target when it's glowing neon green. Dark Sphere and Dark Channel (if used from Ascension Stance) will be neon green, if  I recall. It has been almost 2 months since I last played so, I my memory may be playing tricks on me.

I think........and I'm not 100% sure that it will still prime versus shields regardless of whether they are synthetic or organic. Priming window on ED is really short though.

I had always thought that Energy Drain would only prime against synthetics or shields/barriers but I just remembered something Cyonan wrote a while ago about the game not checking whether an enemy primed by Energy Drain was synthetic or not. And, unsurprisingly, he was right. Did a quick solo test with the Paladin and I was consistently getting tech bursts on Husks, Cannibals and Brutes.

Did everyone else already know this? If so, feel free to spam the thread with slowpoke pics.

^ Lol, thanks Aedolon. Guess I never noticed because using Energy Drain against health or armour didn't ever seem like a good idea unless I could steal some shields from them.

You can get a useful stun effect on Dragoons even if it doesn't do much damage (more useful with SE/SI than Paladin). It's hard to self detonate though, because the priming window is only 3 seconds.
