Always opt out of shockwave. Tech burst hasn't appealed to me before. What are your thoughts?

No offense but he's pretty weak as just a tech burst. You either have to go with sub net + shockwave for a weak ass tech burst with no modifier and glitchy powers that don't always hit or an ammo dependent build. Efficiency wise it's better to slap a Harrier with Bat Passives and shoot everything in the face while being a tank. He's kind of a tanky, utility kit IMHO.

Don't expect too much from his tech bursts, the damage is pretty low. The Batsent needs a solid gun to kill things fast. As NuclearTech said, the Harrier is a good choice for him, batarian passives mitigating the low capacity problem of this rifle.

I do Tech Bursts w/him all the time, but they don't do very much except to offer a bit of crowd damage if you get your SubNet placed right. Shockwave is way better as an ammo detonator, especially Incendiary or Cryo. I like using a Talon, shooting enemies in the face, then Shockwaving to detonate and finish them off. It's a great chaotic crowd control power for him.

It's not just the damage but you're also dependent on two powers with cooldowns. The net misses at times and shockwave can be buggy. Batarian passives, movement speed, damage reduction make him a better version of the Juggernaut though IMHO although synckillable.

Raider works good too besides Harrier.

His best value is as a tanky weapons class.. double down on shield regen in blade armor/fitness, stack on shield power cells. Bring a good gun with a detonatable ammo and spam shockwave. I just got done (another) 200 waves with him and guess what... He still sucks.

Still better than the slow ass Juggy. At least I can get my four eyed ass the ammo box fast. Batarian speed is underrated.

The Juggy is light years better than the Batsent. Siege Pulse alone is better than his entire power set.

Batarian Sentinel works decently as a weapon platform.  I leave 3 in Net just in case.  Shockwave is better overall, IMO.

Guess I know why I always skipped shockwave. Normally run a kishock on em. Can't seem to drop it. My harrier is woefully Lvl1 last to unlock.

I don't get gunned down by Scions.. I do the gunning down. Honestly.. it's the twin Ravagers that get me more often than not. It's hard to miss those squealing pigs unless hazard dagger.

Shockwave and Sub Net are great for melee kits for obvious reasons, and he's pretty darn tanky with 1200/1200 health/shields and 25% DR. I don't worry too much about the tech combos with Shockwave and Sub Net, its more about Shockwave spam detonating FE's set up by your Venom, and Sub Net to incapacitate single enemies (for a falcon punch to the head) and/or annoying units (like phantoms).

Crusader with disruptor ammo without subnet. Enjoy your hard to kill Batarian.

If you want to tech burst with the Batsent, 6+1 TB's from disruptor ammo and shockwave is the way to go.

The TB's are even weaker than with the sub net->shockwave combo, but you're getting a lot more of them over the course of a game.

 

Spec for max shield regen speed, grab a venom, stagger everything.

 

You won't score terribly highly, but you'll be hard to kill.

That's a pretty cool build.. I'm gonna try that.

That's how I run mine. Just wish I could put a hat on him like a Gordon's Fisherman.

Batsent is one of the best kits in the game.  Most fun I had playing me3mp was the second match with 2 gotcha 1 gt after switching to venom batsent spamming shock wave.  Course in the second match I made a point of keeping the flaming idiots in front of me.
