Just bought this game again to play through. pretty excited.  Now I haven't seen this class in the power builds listing that i see, but i seem to remember something like this when i played through oh so long ago and it wrecking house.

Something like combining fighter/duelist/assassin/something else and dual welding hammer of thunderbolts to essentially stunlock all enemies and get backstab damage constantly.  (this is off the top of my head of what i remember, i've been out so long i can't remember ALL the rules)

Is something like this possible?

Is this not considered super powerful? because then I need to check out some of these other "power builds" lol.

Let me know what everyone thinks!

I don't know about this "hammer of thunderbolts" thing, but you could just use feint and get sneak attacks all the time...

If that list of powerbuilds you're looking at is the one on the wiki... meh.

Right, forgot about feint. but that only allows 1 attack.    With the hammer having a 75% chance of stun with each one, you can get a bunch of sneak attacks in one round right?

Duel-wielding warhammers will put a serious dent in your attack bonus. The Hammer of Thunderbolts in the main hand, combined with the Pixie Lance in the offhand, might be a better choice.

Duelist abilities tend to work best with piercing weapons, and without an offhand weapon. The Namarra (neversleep) rapier might be a better duelist option.

Any condition that denies an enemy of their dodge bonus should allow you to sneak attack repeatedly (sleep, stun, paralysis, blindness, etc).

No, feinting consumes one attack, but if it works (you'll need lots of bluff for that), the rest of the attacks in the round will be sneak attacks. If you have 10 attacks per round and use feint successfully, the next 9 will be sneak attacks.

With the hammer having a 75% chance of stun with each one, you can get a bunch of sneak attacks in one round right?

Well, first of all, and regardless of how often the effect is triggered, the DC for the stun is kinda low, and some enemies are completely immune to it (granted, some enemies are immune to sneak attacks in the first place).

Will your idea work? Maybe, I've never built a character around a similar weapon, but it's not better than a simple feint.

Duelist adds nothing to this concept, BTW.

Ah gotcha. Nice then for feint. Maybe that's the right idea then.

I think the only purpose for dualist was to use canny defense so I can go high int for more skill points. So focus dex, int, con and ignore the others.

thanks for the help and suggestions! More are always welcome.

Now that I'm thinking about it....i have it all wrong lol. I'm pretty sure I did weapon master into the hammers to take advantage of the x3 multplier and then go into rogue the last bunch of levels foe the Xtra backstab damage.

haven't seen the numbers though now. Is it better to take advantage of the x3 multiplier or the threat range.
