I hope this is the correct forum for this.

Since June 3rd I've been trying to purchase the "All-Class Item Pack" for "Dragon Age II" from here and when I click the "Buy Now" button and then the "PC" button I get the following error message: "General Error ! An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later."

I have the 400 Bioware Points needed in my account as they were purchased on June 3rd via PayPal. I have also tried to make this purchase using the Origin client software with the same result. This has been ongoing since June 3rd. I've had 2 chat sessions with Origin Game Advisors that were for all intents and purposes a complete waste of my time.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I don't know if this is related or not but the "Your registered game content" portion of my BSN profile is empty.

I am having the same problem.  Exactly.  My bsn profile registered game content is empty as well, but I own everyone of the ME & DA series.

I really want the DLC Mark of the Assassin.

Genaeve, I have both series as well and this pack I'm trying to buy is all I have left to get of the DLC for both. Mark of the Assassin is a great addition and well worth buying.

I posted this same message here . Since an EA support staff is looking into it, perhaps you might want to add there that you're having the problem as well.

Hopefully this can be solved for both of us.

I'm following up with our contact at customer support to get more information. Have you been able to purchase it since you posted?

I also posted this over at the EA Answer HQ and I have been contacted by Sarah from EA Customer Experience and she has sent the problem to the Studio to be investigated. Still awaiting resolution.

Thank you for looking into this and I would appreciate it if you let me know when you learn anything.

Is in the meantime (since june) a fix for this lasting problem arisen?

In my case is this "Genral Error" problem still existing, every time i try to buy a DLC for ME 2 and ME 3. Thats are 6 months without any solution !

Bumping up as I've been having this problem excessively for months. For me:

  • It is categorically not anything to do with my card or back, as I can buy Bioware points with no problem, I am unable to redeem them.
  • It covers both ME2 and ME3 for me. No paid DLC (that I do not already own for ME2/ME3) and no free DLC either. Trying to get the multiplayer DLC (which, again, are not linked to my account) gives up the same error.
  • I have been able to buy items for The Sims 3 since this has occured with absolutely no problem at all. Buying through Origin = fine. Buying from the Sims 3 store site = fine.

I'd tried numerous times to contact EA support on this, but the furthest I got was someone on the understanding that I was having payment problems with my card (and upgraded me to technical support who, naturally, came back and said there was no problem with the payment system and maybe it was my card/bank).

Really, I have three last DLCs to buy. More than willing to put up the money for them. Have the points to buy one sitting and waiting. I'd just like to be able to get this sorted and get them, as the odds that this might crop up for future EA games might be quite reasonable.
