I just did a playthrough with my FemHawke that romanced him. I wanted to do something different other than romancing Anders or Fenris (Not even flirting once with Fenris was brutal, jus' sayin')

 

I was SO disappointed! There was no romantic interaction what-so-ever. I get that there was no chance at sex. Fine. But I thought at the very least I would see a kiss (even if they are the awkward BioWare kisses). When I didn't even get that even with a rivalmance, I felt jipped. There was no party banter to their relationship like there is with any of the other romance options (my all time favorite will always be the banter between Fenris and Anders if you romanced them both but chose the other and Isabela is in your party). So having a romance with Sebastian felt like I wasn't in a relationship at all.

 

So, it's definitely not going to be something I do again. In fact at the end I deleted that save, rerolled her, romanced Anders and allowed him to live to stay with me just to spite Sebastian lol.

You should've saved yourself some grief by watching the "romance" on YouTube for that 1 line that's different than a platonic relationship. Anora in DA:O is more of a romance option and yet she's not regarded as one.

Tried but my Female Hawke always falls for either Anders or Fenris.

 

I don't why, but that's how it works out.

 

Male Hawke is all about Isabelle but sometimes Merrill if I'm playing a crazy Blood Mage.

The strange thing I've discovered about Sebastian is that he doesn't seem to consider female-female relationships legitimate or a threat. I had a FemHawke who romanced Merrill and asked her to move in, as well as a FemHawke who romanced Isabela, and in Act 3 with both relationships he still made the "Princess of Starkhaven" proposal.

 

It seems like he's only threatened by FemHawkes who romanced the boys (as he refused to get involved with my FemHawkes who romanced Fenris and Anders).

That's strange... I'm pretty sure he mentioned Merrill when I tried to romance him!
