I didn't see another thread on this topic, but I might have missed it so... hopefully this is the right place to post this...

I'm going to be at GaymerX this year (I've got an artist table) and I'm super looking forward to the Bioware panels. Anyone else going?

Since it's an LGBT focused convention, I'm hoping we'll get some scuttlebutt on the m/m Love Interest, maybe some more info on Sera too? For a cosplaying friend's sake, I hope we get some more costume turnarounds too. :)

David Gaider was there last year, and hopefully will be there again (I'm not sure if this has been confirmed yet or no).

I'm sure there will be videos (or at least summaries) of the panels/info-- What are you all hoping to see/hear about there?

Yeeeah, I only live about an hour away, so it's not too bad for me. *sympathetic shoulder pat*?

Silly name aside, I hope they talk about Cassandra and her potential as a bi or les LI.

She won't be lesbian. Sera already took that slot.

I'm hoping all romance options are revealed.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but that would be pretty amazing. I think it'd be pretty unlikely that we don't get at least ONE more LI reveal. (But yes, more is always better. :) )

It's an LGBT focused gaming convention in San Francisco.

Who says there's only one slot? They've never talked about numbers at all :)

Well, because there are only three more women possible: Cassandra, Scribbles, and Vivienne. If they have all females romancable, I see them making 2 bi and the third straight since they are all about wanting to give everyone options. If they don't, that goes down to two. And we need one straight and one bi.

While I doubt we'll get two lesbians, I have hope that there will be more than one bisexual lady LI (I just really want to romance Cass or Vivienne with a female Inquisitor after I do my usual gay male playthrough).

Hopefully we'll learn more from GaymerX so we can put some of this speculation to rest!

It's a very small con, so I doubt they'll reveal anything significant in it (probably reserve it for bigger events yet to come).

That said, I wish I could go. But I live across an ocean and a huge land mass (in either direction), so... No.

Alas.

Also - pity that it's gonna be the last GaymerX

Yeah, I just found out that they aren't planning to do another one next year. :/ Sadface. It was super awesome the first year. I think they had around 2,500 attendees-- which is a big number for a first-year con. I feel like it would just keep getting bigger and more awesome if allowed to continue-- so I hope someone else steps up and creates a LGBT focused gaming convention, because clearly the interest for it is there.

And yeah, it's a relatively small con, but Bioware seems to care about it (and about it's LGBT fans), so I wouldn't be surprised if they revealed some info for those fans during the con. (I mean, what are they gonna talk about this year if not Inquisition?)

I've bought my ticket, got accommodations semi handled, but probably going to be having to take public transportation from San Jose at least half the time.  Still looking forward to the Bioware panels in addition to some of the others!

Apparently they ran out of funds and couldn't find corporate sponsors. The chief organizer said at one interview that he's personally over a hundred thousand dollars in debt because of the con.

It was a great con, but there were definitely issues in the way it was run. I still hope that someone else steps in to fill the space-- I really really liked having a LGBT gaming con. I felt very welcomed and safe there. No judgement or negative treatment from congoers(I'm an artist with a lot of queer-themed work). No one rolling their eyes or making gagging sounds at my art because of it's LGBT (not adult) focus (and yes, this happens to me a lot).

I would love to, but the 1200€ trip to SF is a bit steep, and that's not counting the hotel bill.

Same as some of the others here: Located on the East Coast, where nothing cool, video game related happens :(

I'm not gay, but I would love to show some support for the movement!

Looooool San Franciso. No thanks!

Flight too expensive, hotels too expensive, the food is probably too expensive, taking a peeksie at the eye candy too expensive. They should've made it in NYC, then I'd take the travel. :(

I live in the wrong country for it  :(

Assuming I don't have anything else to do that weekend, I will just check the forums and twitter a bit more often than I usually do incase anything is revealed  :wizard:
