I know the Saber pretty much inside out, and you surely need more than one full magazine unless you have a huge damage bonus such as cloak or a debuff.

Yeah GI might do that alright. I never used it on the GI anyway, so wouldn't know... But math should be pretty easy to do.

Plus it also has Prox. Mine' weakness to damage...

 

Well, to be fair, even a Made in China™ water gun would be OP with a GI....unfortunately, I don't like my eyes getting ignited with Hunter Mode's layout

It's in the "plausible" category. With thermal clip spam and 2x-3x hits it is possible, but from just normal damage you get about 2100 damage per hit (avg between shields and armor).

Build

 

Location and difficulty: Giant/Cerberus/Plat

 

Test 1:

 

Atlas: full Shields, full Armor

Cloak cycle 1 -> Thermal Clip -> shoot (no Proxy Mine) -> Cloak cycle 2 -> Proxy Mine -> shoot

 

Results: Atlas killed, 2 shots remaining.

 

 

Test 2:

 

Atlas: missing one bar of Shields, full Armor

Cloak cycle 1 -> Thermal Clip -> Proxy Mine -> shoot -> Cloak cycle 2 -> Proxy Mine -> shoot

 

Results: Atlas killed, 4 shots remaining.

Because I still relatively suck with the TGI-Saber? (remember: only one week or so with it). Cos it was my 1st Plat game ever? Cos it was the 1st time against all bosses from the four factions in one place? Cos I had lag in addition to all that? I think I already stated so. And that battle wasn't only against Atlases, you know.

 

In fact, I'm amazed I didn't ended with a ridiculous score compared to the 3rd one...

 

 

I just hope you include that "good ammo" to the Saber, too. With incendiary/piercing rounds IV I can also finish an Atlas with half a magazine...¬¬

You did cover your self prior to the match the third one was as expected from most pugs anyway but they did average they done the job ie team work.

Anno did the testing. Spitfire's TTK for atlases is close to that of typhoon. Sabre can't rival it.
Ofc sabre on GI > spitfire on GJ. It's because GJ is a weapon platform, which by new definition is a tanky kit w high shields.
Why you no try spitfire on GI as well?

I think I like the Spitfire on the Trooper now instead of the Juggernaut. I expected the two Flamer guys to be on top of the scoreboard, but nope. Spitting fire rapidly gets the job done.

As for this thread...

I was the second person to post in the thread and I told the OP that the Juggernaut would be best utilized if he incorporated Siege Pulse into the build. From then on people started posting different builds and the OP has been given plenty of information and a lot of different things to try. I didn't feel like he would need me reiterating the same things that other people have said. My comments after my first post were 1) Why post a Geth Trooper video to say how the Juggernaut will be used while saying the Juggernaut would be used differently, and 2) I don't think the definition of a weapon platform is having high shields and being a soldier. I never argued against LawShadow's builds and I never questioned his skill.

 

Let me just say this again, I haven't given the OP any more advice because he has already been given great advice, and I never argued against the builds that have been suggested.

Gave it another try to the Spitfire with the Juggy....again, sad face. Equipped the Typhoon later. All was well in the world

Anyways, I've already played with a good Spitfire wearer, and my opinion won't change because of another. I've already changed it from "Throw that thing out the airlock" to "it's a decent weapon...somewhat". But I don't see why it should be anything above that.

me doesn't say anything about spitfire vs sabre GI, he only concludes that GI Sabre can kill the atlas within one clip, which doesn't mean it's TTK is shorter.

Year ago Anno compared atlas TTK of typhoon and spitfire on GT, it was almost the same. I doubt that sabre can kill atlas faster than typhoon. Hell, I'm out of home for several days, might measure it myself.

Spitfire would have been a great gun for OG Turians, Destroyer, HSol if not for stupid speed penalty.

Well, wouldn't know about cooler than the Typhoon... They're different. The Brophoon is cool as hell as well.
