Developers, just ask marketing for permission to release the full romance list already. >_>

You probably shouldn't be hanging out here if you don't want this kind of spoiler.

I've gotten pretty good at avoiding this information after a number of Bioware releases, but this time it seems they have done a particularly odd job of throwing detailed companion information before they even scratched the surface of game mechanics. So I was exposed to things I can usually avoid, but ce la vie.

I wasn't saying that stuff to try and avoid any further spoilers, just that I hate spoilers in general, so that I find it really hard to understand wanting to plan in any sort of detail a path I wanted my character to take for a game that I hadn't played previously.

If I may add my two cents here... My favorite aspect of the DA games is the lore and story and characters. Although I enjoy things like combat, and exploration, and crafting, there are other games that have these and arguably do them better. The characters and their interactions with us and each other are what are really shine to me though and make Dragon Age unique, and the romance adds a lot to that.

I enjoy a good love story, and the potential for a happy ending, and it's a nice way to offset all the doom and gloom and death in the game. And since I'm pretty big on the roleplay stuff, and like to see the game and characters through my pc's eyes so to speak, the idea of spending hours in a game and falling for a character only to have them not be available diminishes my enjoyment. Especially when it means I missed out on someone else.

Yes, that does happen in real life, but, this isn't real life. This is me playing a game to have fun. So it helps to know in advance what my options are, so I don't get too attached to the idea of romancing a certain character beforehand. Yes, I realize I may not like them in the game, but even then at least I know who else is available.
