"magicide" again? srly? somebody really believe that this bullshit is can be possible in DA universe))) Qunari can try to kill all of their mages but in Thedas it is impossible

given that mages who don't want accept current rules end killed or turned into zombie what stops us from doing that.Especially that peoples will want burn mages themselves after that crap they caused now hehe...

Qunari don't want to kill all their mages. They only have a kill on sight policy for most Bas Saarebas.

Templars what Thedas does never have very much(just a few thousand with ~13 KC in whole Thedas 13 Circles before asunder), suck agains mages and they are very very expensive and need training for years to have their abilitys what is mostly useless against deamons and normal mages

and now Orlais Templars do not have anything and separate from Orlais Chantry what makes them enemys even for Orlais peoples

they can only kill childrens without good magic education, and even childrens beat templars)))

witches, apostages, dalish, barbarian mages, dragon worchipers, trained circle mages and magisters are beat Templars without any problems, and many non-mages in Thedas will never support Templars and fight against them

even now no-one will support survived Orlais Templars exept some Orlais, Starheven and minority of Ferelden peoples...and even Orlais Chantry and Orlais rulers with many nobles(many are secretly mages) support mages and they always would need them and even Templar Order was always need them(no phylacterys, no Lithanies of Andralla, no enchanted weapon and armor and no money) and they cant and would always weak to start a war against all mages, even bad ones as from Orlais Chantry Cirles

Rivain, Nevarra, Tevinter, Anderfels(Grey Wardens who is rule the country), mostly half of Free Marshes kingdoms will be on mages side

all barbarians, non-andrastans, dalish-elfs and dwarfs would be on mages side too

majority of Thedas hate Orlais, hate their Orlais Chantry and especially their Orlais Templars..and after Orlais Templars now separated, have mostly nothing and do not have most of Orlais nobles and even their Orlais Chantry support, so Orlais Tempalrs now are mostly noone...some fanatic terrorists and many see red templars

LoL it isn't? They handle blood mages and abomnations for centuries and do that successfully to that point.

Haha yes even mage children beat templars especially that adult trained mages are wrecked by them with little effort in asunder or da 2.

Yes nobility supports mages so much that they kick them out of their society...

My five step plan for a better Thedas:

  • Free all mages.
  • Disband the Templars, Seekers, and outlaw the Chantry and Qun.
  • Restore lands previously under the control of the Imperium to Tevinter.
  • Appoint the Amell Warden and Morrigan as high lord regents of the Tevinter Imperium, until such time as the OGB inherits the throne.
  • Use the forces of the Inquisition to consolidate newly acquired territories.

If time permits, I would also like to appoint Sandal as the court jester, but we will have to see.

Forget the mages and begin the annihilation of the templars and Chantry.

How about making the circles into a school like hogwarts, and keep templars around in case **** goes down.

I can just see it....

*Alistair looks around the castle nervously and whispers*

"Dobby"

*Dobby appears*

Oh! Great Master Virgin has called Dobby! Master Virgin is the most wonderfullest Temp in the castle! What does Master Virgin want?"

*Alistair sighs and whispers a single word*

"Cheese."

Funny thing, I can see the possibility of this happening although it may not be the same as Hogwarts. In my personal opinion the Mages deserve more freedom and less restrictions, and the Chantry's tyranny need to be brought down but absolute freedom for the Mages can mean total anarchy, chaos and it's the same as evil Magister runs Tevinter Imperium except it's happening to many nations in Thedas.

While I don't support total mage freedom I think it's silly to say every other country would turn into tevinter. Tevinters problems are that they culturally accept slavery and killing people for spells. Get rid of those and the magisters are just any other noble in Thedas.

I mean the dalish are a mageocracy and they don't approve of either slavery or blood magic.

Both more and less lenient. While there are real dangers to letting a Mage stay too emotionally attached to beloved family (Connor), I think the benefits of a more easily managed Mage population overall tend to outweigh them.

On the other hand, there need to be a lot more zero tolerance rules. For example, Anders escaped eight times. EIGHT. That is simply unacceptable. His first attempt should have been his last, with his capture resulting in Tranquility or death.

Those who lack the wisdom and willingness to understand and accept that the price and responsibility that comes with their great power is segregation for the safety of their fellow man should be made an example of.

The real question is what to do with remaining templars and chantry priests after they have been cast down. Should they all be just massacred and forgotten about, or should they be re-educated back to worshipping the Old Gods like other mundanes?

Well, I didn't mean every nation would turn into the Tevinter Imperium, but the abuse of power from any evil powerful mage are no different than how evil Magister runs their Empire, slavery or no but without any laws or ethics code the world will be in absolute chaos and anarchy  countless innocent lives will be lost in the process. That said the Chantry priests and Templars who abuse their power are no better either. I personally think there need to be a force of order and static, and the force of change and chaos to keep the balance, and to be specific kept every civilization in Thedas from destroying itself or each other.

How could you not save Loghain he is the greatest general Ferelden has and is unwavering in his loyalty towards it.

Alistair is a naive, whiny and selfish ****** conpaired...

Making Loghain a Warden puts him on a irremovable (well prior to Anders) leash as well.

Go to the Origins section and look up the Loghain debates there, this thread is about mages.

Templars do what is necessary to keep mages in line and hunt blood mages. There has to be circles to protect people from mages. Mages all have a bad side in them like orsino who hides a blood mage just to make them not look bad. The templars will deal with the mage scum.

You'd actually be surprised how many people here are not trolls, and are dead serious.
