If DAI would be an online MMORPG, would you still play it?

No because I think that if DA was a MMO,it will lose all the features that made me love it in the first place...Like for example, the fact the my decisions matter and my character's actions affect the world around them.

I wouldn't want to see Thedas invaded by the bad apples of the MMO community, it would literally (figuratively) break my heart...

Absolutely not

I prefer single player games and I always hated the mmo model of grinding and requiring persistent online connection.

I'll keep the DA formula as is thanks

I don't want DA:I to be an MMO, but I wouldn't mind a Dragon Age MMO, kinda like what Bethesda did with Elder Scrolls Online. :)

I have this thing against MMORPGs. Even ESO couldn't lure me into it.

I can't stand MMO. I have tried watching them over at twitch to see if it might change my mind on them. It made me hate them even more.

For me, pretty much the same reasons Maclimes said. I'm a parent and keeping up with an MMO would be impossible and the only time I'd have to play it would be during nap time or when it'd cut into my sleeping hours. Secondly, I have become largely disenchanted with the MMO franchise, all the games largely feel the same and don't have anything new or interesting to offer. I was in the beta for ESO and it really just felt like a Elder Scrolls DCU. Anyway, I will always greatly prefer BioWare's single player experience, IMO it's the best and Thedas is fascinating to me.

I'd no doubt follow it for the lore, but... No.

Dragon Age games are about EACH player's story, and their unique history and world state they leave Thedas in. If they suddenly change all that and turn us from "The Inquisitor and Warden!" to "Act 1 Hawke... Forever!" I'd really dislike it. Even if it was a DA game, I wouldn't play it.

Nope. If I wanted to play an mmo, I'd go back to world of warcraft.

No way. Dragon Age would'nt be Dragon Age if it were an MMO. An MMO is also too much of a commitment; I have a husband, a job and a cat, that's enough commitment for me. Single player RPGs all the way.

While I've enjoyed a handful of MMOs, I don't think BioWare's house style - especially as presented in the DA series - is very suited to that format.

An MMO would inevitably dilute everything that makes playing in Thedas interesting. While I enjoyed SWTOR, I'm pretty sure that I would have enjoyed any one of the class stories made as a single player game more. (Obviously that was never going to happen for various reasons, but hypothetically.)

There's nothing inherently wrong with MMORPGs, but something that makes a great single-player experience isn't automatically going to make a great multiplayer open world.

If it was a rpg/strategy hybrid or some new crazy dynamic design then perhaps I'd try it out. If it's anything resembling wow not a chance in hell. It will just repeat history.

I play DA for the story and the party. What would you prefer, the banter of the companions, or the same tired memes spouted incessantly by idiots in chat along with the sort of stupid, racist, sexist (insert any other form of abuse and prejudice you can think of) crap that always turns up?

MMOs would be a lot of fun, if it wasn't for other people.

My favorite is when they say anal then link items/spells, it gets pretty outrageous. Totally breaks immersion too(not that there is any to begin with)

Look at how ESO is working out. It's not terrible, but is it anything like the previous games? No, it's just an average MMO now set in the ES universe (no one is even talking about it as far as I can see). A Dragon Age mmo would only be an empty shell of its former self. Dragon Age is amazing because of its stories and characters. That wouldn't work in an MMO as well.

The obvious test of whether you can successfully combine RPG and MMO is ESO.

I beta tested it and it lacked immersion and heart, both of which BioWare are great at providing in a single player setting.

For BioWare to go MMO would mean making too many compromises.

However, to dismiss MMO is not to dismiss cooperative multiplayer done right.

I spent more happy hours in ME3 MP than in any single player game and I'll probably wander back for some more when the time suits.

Indeed. Any kind of immersion or atmosphere is next to impossible with MMOs. If the story begins by telling you that you're the chosen one, then every other player is the chosen one and thus none of you are. Sure single-player games do the same thing, but you don't have thousands of other players jump-crouching around the place shattering the illusion.

No.  Once I pay for a game that's generally as much as I want to spend on it.  DLC maybe, but a monthly charge for the same old content?  <_<
