In my first one, I was like "I need some angst!" so I added the one line to the side of the mouth to make him seem like he's going "Hmph."  Decided to keep that as my "theme" and it's hilarious to see other people also using it

 

 

EDIT: Yours didn't have it, but at this point I consider it an insider way of saying "I like it"

Starting to agree that this is just a nice, fun thread. I like it. Also massively impressed at how much fan art the Solasians are turning out. 

 

I had a random thought and wanted some input from others. I apologize if it was already brought up in the past 127 pages, but... I'm lazy and hoping to avoid sloughing through all that. 

 

So, one of the few confirmed things we know about Solas is that he's a Fade expert, right?

 

This makes me wonder if he's just very well-versed about it in a book sense or if he spends/has spent a lot of time there.

 

Because if it's the latter, that then leads me to wondering just how he's managing to study the Fade in-person so much. Because my mind wanders back to Redcliffe and that whole deal where sending a mage into the Fade to free Connor from the demon involves either 1) lots of lyrium and a whole pack of mages working the spell or 2) blood magic - specifically, draining an entire person-worth of blood.

 

Implications... unpleasant. Unless he was regularly doing this with a passel of fellow apostates, or has found some third alternative way to the Fade, or just isn't chillin' his boots much there at all and I'm just brain-wandering too much.

Sort of a gut feeling it's David. He has appeared a little... protective, for lack of a better word... about Solas here on the forum a bit, in my opinion. Think he was also the first to offer clarification on his name when the German magazine preview broke.

 

But then again, that could also simply be because he's the lead writer, too.

I don't believe anyone official has confirmed who wrote Solas. David said, once, that he might consider telling us when we can ask who wrote him by name (back before we knew Solas's name), but that hasn't happened (since it was never promised or anything).

I'm so happy to see a Solas thread! When I first saw the screenshots he got my attention straight away. He looks so interesting and always find the elven characters cool in DA. 

 

Going to venture into the many pages of this thread and catch up on what's been released / rumoured about him

 

Also I'm hoping that David did write him, I've loved every characted he's been involved in....*fingers crossed*

I feel bad for DHMG and Bearded warden fans because unless there are three male LIs, Cullen will probably fill the human quota.

Hope not..we know more about Cullen than we do about Solas plus Cullen has had a small part in the past two games.

I wish I was a part of the Cullen-hype. I just dont...at all... see it. He is so dull. Nothing special at all.

 

But I am happy you are happy though.   Just give me someone interesting to romance, and everyone is happy. Hopefully there will be three romances for both gender
