To interject briefly, having read The Masked Empire it would be nice IMO, if Solas turns out to be something of a mentor to the PC on Fade issues, if

an elven Inquisitor could refer to him as hahren or even "teacher."  Somewhat like Wynne's relationship to the Warden, maybe?

Eeee you just turned him into Jarlaxle from the Forgotten Realms   Solas' Drow cousin maybe?  Jarlaxle wouldn't be caught dead in Solas' outfit though.

Okay, I'm having a really horrible time trying to repaint Solas's body.  I was trying to do a bare torso and paint clothes on that, but... I'm making him too buff, butchering his hands, making him look like he's got a giant head, and doing just about everything else wrong that I possibly can.  I think perhaps I should call it a night.

 

Edit:  And a couple hours later, Brass threw up her hands in frustration as she realized that not only was the body completely wrong but the face also didn't really look anything like Solas and in order to fix this silly fan art of hers she was going to entirely have to repaint the character...  She beat her head upon her desk a few times, put away her Wacom tablet, and decided it was high time she went to bed.

 

In any case... Wonder if there will be any new screenshots with party members in the near future?

 

And I still wonder how we're going to meet Solas in-game.  Lots of good theories, but we don't know much about him.

@Banxey, that's so cute! Poor Solas looks totally miserable in that hat. I don't blame him; I'd be pretty miserable too if I had to wear that thing! I wonder what Vivienne thinks of those kinds of mage hats.

This is the perfection comparison!  When I was a kid my dog got the "Please, kill me" look when I put her in costumes   I knew she loved it deep inside though.

I think it's going to be either Solas or Iron Bull for this Follwer Friday. I've been mostly leaning towards Solas, but it might just be that I'm biased and want to hear about Solas more right now. I like the Iron Bull concept a lot, too, but Solas is just the bigger mystery right now. I feel like we know more about Iron Bull's concept so far. At any rate, I wouldn't be surprised at all if whoever isn't this time will be next time.

Actually, I kind of wonder if they're going to throw us for a loop and announce someone we know literally nothing about.  I don't think they'll reveal Cole, if Cole is a companion, but they might reveal the Warden or Sera.

 

I would prefer that Solas get his reveal, but as someone elsewhere pointed out, it doesn't seem likely that Bioware would reveal two mages in a row.  I really wish they would (bonus points if he turns out to be a romance and they told us that too), but I don't see it as being as likely as Iron Bull or someone else entirely.

I would love if it were Cole or Dorian, but I think we'll probably hear about the ones that we've seen a lot of first. I don't really look for the warden to get much confirmation for a while, either, honestly. If they confirm the warden it's a nail in the coffin for Cullen and it seems like they're set on dragging that out. lol

But the more we talk about a character we don't know anything about, the more Bioware is pleased because we're feeding the hype beast, which will ultimately translate into more sales for their game.  Same for fan art etc.
