My brother drew a quick Solas, yay! 

 

He even gave him a grumpy face and the Allan mouth  :lol:

Solas: There's a seven-foot tall horned giant here and somehow I'm the most awkward addition to this party. No offence.

Iron Bull: None taken. Do you think we'll get out of here before last call? All the food here is so...tiny.

Solas: It could be worse, at least no one's asked you to fetch them another drink.

Iron Bull: You could refill their glass with Antivan Fire like you did with Duke What's-his-face.

Solas: That was only because the Inquisitor asked.

 

Haha that gave me a good laugh right there! :P

Let's try to bring this thread back to life with some discussion!

 

How do you guys think Solas would react to the Inquisitor hitting on him? He does have a personality like spicy candy so that could mean he'd flirt back or find it amusing but we also heard that he has an awkward streak to him so he might be more flustered than anything.

 

I think with my Inquisitor he'd just be surprised because she's an uptight Qunari and will probably be incredibly awkward about it herself.

Maybe he WILL be like Garrus. Awkward and unsure but once he's finally into it, he gets a whole lot bolder and flirty.

I just love that smug/inquisitive look he's giving in the war room concept, so maybe something like that in response to the flirting? :D

Maybe he's the kind to smirk at the flirting but when you really push him he's like "wait....are you serious about this? Not sure what to do now...." I can't picture Solas as a character who's had too many serious relationships before but it's all up in the air, I guess!

Inquisitor> Solas, you've been staring at me for the past hour.  What's wrong?  Do I have something stuck between my teeth?  An odd stain on my armor?

Solas>*smirk*  Just wondering what's under that armor, is all.

Inquisitor>  Wait what?

 

Yeah, we're probably every single one of us waaaaaaaay off.  The writers, if they see our guesses at dialogue, are probably pointing their fingers at us and mocking away.  Or they're just having a very good laugh.

I have my doubts that an apostate Fade expert really qualifies as "non-threatening," much the same as Anders wasn't exactly "non-threatening..."  For all we know he drinks tea with demons.

Part of me thinks I am a horrible person for doing that to him (poor guy, just because he doesn't have hair), but part of me thinks it's completely hilarious...

I like to think of it as an explanation for Solas's scowl that everyone likes to draw him with.

 

I don't know if it's because it's Easter or what, but this thread has been way slow today...  I propose we discuss something Solas-oriented.  Like, I dunno, we know he's a Fade expert, but in what way?  Does he travel the Fade a lot?  Does he drink tea with demons?  Thoughts?

Here's my Army of Darkness inspired drawing, though it's more like the Inquisitor's fan art than Solas'.  I call it: Army of Snark-ness.  There isn't a ton of blood on my dead dragon, but I'll spoiler tag it anyway.

Edit:  Busy, busy today.  Now that I have time...  Brass, Easter egg Solas is awesome :)  I just hope Solas is as long-suffering in game as we're making him out to be ;)
