Hello to the Solas thread. I don't usually post over here, but I had to tell you guys that I was doing some research on medieval clothing, and I may have located a pair of Solas' pants....

I'd just expect him to be trustworthy enough after a few flirt sessions to not allow himself to be "stolen," if a person can really be stolen at all... which was what my little banter thingie I wrote was getting at.
Oh, don't get me wrong, that was all in jest. I really don't think that he would allow himself to be 'stolen' or be stolen, however, I wouldn't be against watching him getting hit on

Jealousy is not a pretty thing to me. I don't want to have to get into a major argument or physical fight with some other character over who my Inquisitor is flirting with, that would be very immature. It wouldn't be the best of reactions even if my Inquisitor were married to Solas, for that matter. I'd just have to hope that the other character had enough respect for mine written into his characterization, that he wouldn't want to cheat on mine, or that the Inquisitor could cheerfully send him to dance with someone else for a while and Solas would come back to the Inquisitor anyway.
Eh it's not always about cheating or jealousy. If he and my Quizzy are clearly together and someone comes up with nonstop flirting, Quizzy's not going to be a happy camper to have her thoughts and her relationship so disrespected. And Qunari Quizzy is a scary Quizzy.

I definitely know how you feel. It's not helping that what we have seen of some of them in game makes them look real. At least more so than ever before. I imagine it's only going to get worse from here in. Oh and of course I can't wait to get to know them in a purely platonic way either. I'm really excited about it actually. Although... (potential TMI) I really, really want to bite Beardy Warden's shoulder. I'm sorry, I'm terrible. But there it is.

Started thinking of positions one might be in that would lead to shoulder biting and damn. It's unfair of Bioware to make all of the companions so appealing and then not even give us a shot with them 
Romance all the things! (before that goes anywhere, I totally understand why we can't have them all but that doesn't make the feelings go away)
About the stealing away thing, I think it's more about disrespect from the person trying to cut in than worry over losing him. Though perhaps if the ball happened before Solas knew how the Inquisitor felt about him, then she might worry that another man or woman might catch his eye. Maybe she'd blow up at the person trying to steal him away and announce her feelings for Solas right there on the dance floor.
I imagine my Inquisitor trying to play with Solas' ears all the time and he keeps slapping her hands away. She just wants to find out if they're more sensitive than human ears... for science!

You echoed my feelings on the whole thing being more about disrespect than possessiveness or jealousy; we're on the same page on that one! And my Inquisitor doesn't take any bullshit lying down. Disrespect her or her friends and you'll regret it!
And if they're jealous, hey. They're only human (or elf or qunari or dwarf). Sometimes people feel immature and act on it! Can't fault anyone too hard for that unless they go overboard.
Pffft poor Solas! I imagine every human that gets with an elf does something like that. My Qunari Inquisitor not so much considering they both have the pointy ear thing going on but she MIGHT be interested in the sensitivity. And she might take secret enjoyment out of how annoyed he gets at it, if only because she thinks he looks handsome when he's angry
Edit: Also, I'm REALLY starting to hope Solas is a LI because I have this silly image in my head of my Inquisitor coming up on him from behind and resting her chin on top of his head Poor guy could be tall for an elf but he'll always be a shorty compared to a qunari!

I'd say I was sorry for giving you pervy thoughts, but I laughed too hard at it to make a sincere apology.
As for the more on OT topic of jealousy/respect. I don't know. I suppose I'm the kind of person who would prefer to sit back and see how the person I was interested in dealt with it on their own. And if we're talking balls in Orlais, it would be hard to take any of them seriously.
I also plan on flirting with Celene if at all possible. Sorry, Solas.

also for some reason i see him as being kinda soft spoken, idk why. even tho we know nothing about him he seems kinda nice, i hope he is nice ♡
if he turns out 2 be sweet & adorable like alistair was (not the same of course, i just mean like in terms of general cutie-pie-ness) then i'll really like him ♡

I don't think the "bald" figure is Solas at all. I have no idea who it is, but the bald head everyone's seeing looks more like a helmet to me. There's a dark T shape on the face that looks like the face slits in the inquisition helm's we've seen thus far.
Of course, I could just being seeing things.

Someone said that in another thread (can't remember if it was you - sorry). I think it's just a shadow, but the quality is bad so he could be a Juggalo for all I know. I still think he looks like he is wearing Solas' clothes though.

I get what you're saying. To be honest, I've looked at it so many times now I can't unsee what I see. I'm sure pareidolia is playing it's part. Hopefully we'll get a higher res soon, or someone will reply to (I think) Hrungr's tweet asking for clarification.
