Somehow I think that Beardy McWarden will look much more tired, I don't think he looks that bad guys, almost everyone you come across on the street has atleast a bit of a dark patch under their eyes. Unless they're wearing make-up, and I don't think they have that yet in the dragon age universe...

I don't think it looks bad either, but those under eye circles are DARK. It gives him a weary, dry kind of look that suits the rest of his design very well. You can get a definite idea of his character based on the designs and Kirby's scotch-bonnet candy remark.

Am I the only one who doesn't like how eyes look in general so far? In the trailer too, Cass' eyes seem like they're made of glass... I hope it looks better in the final version!

Cassandra's eyes don't look like eyes to me in any of the trailers/concept art I've seen. To the point that I would not be surprised if she turns out to have been possessed by a demon.

 

But at least in the screenshot, Solas' eyes don't bother me.

 

Edit, just looked at it again, he is a bit wall-eyed.

Okay, you guys and Solas just did me a solid. That scar? My Five year old son has one just like it, which he tends to be sensitive about. I showed him Solas then read some of the clean comments. He was smiling all dimply and even blushed a bit.

Who'd have thought, such a simple thing. Hehe

I'm one of those who, if written well and breaks my heart, enjoy tragic romances. Hopefully we will know more by Friday and can speculate more once we know who wrote him. I hope he is and LI. You can't give a man lips like that and deny access to them. It's too cruel.
On another note. To add fuel to the judas fire, if you compare the portrait of the companions to the last super, Solas is standing roughly in the Judas spot.

By order of where they are standing/sitting that's actually Cassandra, interestingly enough. But I doubt that they actually meant to take the symbolism that far, though it would certainly be a twist if they did.

Nonsense! Scars are something to be proud about, because not only do they add character, there tends to be a good story behind them (even if they don't, you're entitled to make a really great one up). Also, scars are awesome.

Nonsense! Scars are something to be proud about, because not only do they add character, there tends to be a good story behind them (even if they don't, you're entitled to make a really great one up). Also, scars are awesome.

We'll have to work on making a good one up. Part of me liking the clumsy thing is that T got his scar tripping over his own feet while running.

He quite likes the idea of creating a story for it!

Sidenote: I've said all these things before, is funny how it means more when it isn't coming from momma. And I'm certainly not short on scars myself, I've got quite the collection.

Also, I have a scar on my lip from tripping and falling face first down an escalator when I was ~5-6.  I didn't like it as a kid but it makes for a funny story now

I think it's funny how he looks relatively young and yet so much older than Fenris and Merrill because he doesn't have those big DA2 elf eyes!

 

I miss the big eyes and the elves being small.  It's funny that The Masked Empire mentions very often that elves have big eyes, but it doesn't seem to have carried over into DA:I at least where the companions are concerned.

I miss the big eyes and the elves being small.  It's funny that The Masked Empire mentions very often that elves have big eyes, but it doesn't seem to have carried over into DA:I at least where the companions are concerned.

Sera's eyes look quite large, and though Solas' eyes are more normal, they still have a very large iris (and are still pretty big, just vertically narrow) We get to see lots of that beautiful color in there. In general a large iris makes the eyes seem bigger (see Koreans and circle lenses) so that might be it.

 

I agree on the sentiment of them being so tall, though. In the original game they were just between the height of humans and dwarves. If you think Solas looks tall, look at Sera in the image, she looks enormous next to Leliana.

Nic Cage looks pretty good in that picture. Their eyes and maybe their cheekbones look similar, but that's about it now.  Solas' nose, lip shape, chin and jawline are drastically different.  Damn Solas.  I'm going to do all sorts of things to you.  I mean, my Inquisitor will.  Yes.

I'm actually supposed to have a scar running down the middle of my face/along my nose because (according to my mom), when I was little, I managed to run myself face first into a wall with a broken tile. And I'm also supposed to have a scar running along the left side of my jaw from a horse riding incident which involved the crazy mare I was riding running me into a low tree, but my mother just wasn't having it and used cremes and such to prevent scarring (she's always told me that it's silly to have wished to have the scars, but I wanted them!) .

Making up stories for that sounds like a grand time to me! And it does make sense that it means more coming from strangers, afterall, I think what worries/worried him is that he wouldn't be accepted or would be looked down on for it

Another day, another glare from my boyfriend for waking him up with squeeing. To be fair once he knew there was a trailer he got excited and woke the dog. It's the circle of life.

Where'd you get your avatar?  Did you tweak it yourself?  It's awesome   I want that picture on a tank top so when I run on the treadmill I can stare at it in the mirror for motivation.
