Anyways, is it only me who thinks he looks way to human? He has a human face, without those typical DA2 elf feature, and thats a bummer. I like DA2 elves. The only elf-like about him is his ears.

 

 

 

It's not just you.   It isn't just him, but the DA:I elves in general are bothering me this way.  They'd look fine if they were simply pretty humans, but I miss those things that made Thedas elves look distinctly elven.  In DA:O they were shorties and they were endearing that way.  In DA2 they got those big eyes with a clearly non-human appearance that worked, at least for me.  I really loved the DA2 elf look aside from making them taller.  I was willing to accept them being a little more human looking, but making them even taller makes them feel more like humans with elf ears tacked on than ever before.

I did notice that!  The face inside the helmet looked quite beautiful, but the...crotch... region threw me off.

Hah, as I already said in another thread, the character I want to romance most of all - are the male!quisitor. He's just too handsome, despite his helmet! Guess I may end up narcissistic, but oh well. There's always a first time for something.

No, you are not the only one. I too, cry for DAII elves. Honestly, Solas looks more bulky than DHMG, that's weird.

Agreed. I want my tiny elves back. Maybe one of them could be unusually tall, and it could be a running joke, but otherwise the small silhouette was what made them the most distinct for me.

I'm not entirely sure how spoilerish that is, because I'm uncertain if I believe that theory. But to be safe could you put it behind spoiler tags, not everyone has read TME yet.

Probably had already been discussed before (I'm not realy following the thread), but I've just noticed this concept art:

Gee I missed a lot of speculation when I was sleeping, damn you timezones! We're in the worst ever position here now though, we don't know if Solas is a love interest, though it may seem very likely I'm really afraid to just take that for granted and get disappointed later and if he is he may not be available for all of us. If he turned out to be gay I would be really happy for the people who can romance that amazing bastard but I'd be pretty pissed off because like a lot of people here it's really hard for me to get the same enjoyment out of a playthrough with a male inquisitor than with a female one, so I most likely won't play as one. I just hope he's available for both guys and girls. Maybe sacrificing some Cullenites to the Bioware gods would help them listen to our request?

That's a concept, not much of the details, but I think his right ear is too pointy for a human. Rest of him - the body, the clothes look pretty much similar to his other concepts.  

 

I'm not saying it's him, could be a coincidence.

That's what I'm hoping too, that we get atleast a bit more context this friday (please!?  ) to what kind of person he actually is so we can stop only speculating and actually have some decent information If he was not romanceable at all then I hope he's a massive jerk indeed so I have a reason to hate him, because I don't think I can otherwise..

Yeah, I hope with this barrage of information they haven't forgotten about Follower Friday..I guess I can't complain since we've gotten so much info lately, but with the forums (mostly) being on fire over the recent romance info it would be welcome distraction from it all.

I just had an idea, wasn't there an option for the inquisitor to walk away mid-conversation? I might have to resort to that so I won't constantly get reminded of his non-romanceness

Matt Rhodes did a great job with this one. I can understand why they turn to forbidden magic, they have a tool at their disposal that the other side doesn't. It's kill or be killed, take your pick. I think Inquisition is going to be a hot bed of moral choices and decisions. 

 

I'm interested to find out Sola's viewpoints on the whole mage situation, particularly maleficarum.

Its the little details, like a female mage with her baby. Another (maybe the father?) trying to create a barrier with fire to protect them. And then the woman with the red eyes who resorts to blood nagic. Also, he really made the templars looks haunting.

I'd like them to equally humanize the templars this time though. I've always been pro-mage, I'd like for the chance to be persuaded otherwise.

Okay so clearly all the news yesterday got to me because I had a dream about Dragon Age Inquisition. I'd somehow gotten the game mega early and I was playing it and I was totally gearing up my Inquisitor to romance Solas. 

 

Except Solas turned me down in favor of starting a relationship with Iron Bull. So I went to DHMG but he said that he didn't romance anyone without a great mustache.

 

It was a terrible dream but I woke up laughing

It's been confirmed on twitter about the options.
Cullen is either straight or bi, and since hes a npc thats leaving only one male companion option for female gamers. Unless there are more options. I'm really hoping Solas is Bi. Or a LI at all for that matter. I'm trying not to dwell, here, really.
