If he's really old, maybe that's how elves show their age? They go bald and hairless?

They appear to be absent... considering his original art was dark-haired, he'd have dark eyebrows if he had them at all. He's like the Mona Lisa on that brow of his. Guess we don't have to worry about elf hair allergies when we hang out with Solas...

Hm. Edited to add, looks like Solas went through some facial tweaks between that original in-party screenshot and the later one. The nose-to-lip distance is longer in the newer pic. That said he's cuter in profile than head-on. Wonder if I can tell him to turn his head to the side every time I talk to him. (Poor Solas...)

Yeah, the blurry version of the picture made it look like he did have eyebrows, too.
I'm totally torn, he could have very small sort of wispy brows. They might just look like shadow in the shots we've seen.

He might, but it really looks like he's brow-less. It could be interesting if it turns out it's because he's actually super-old, or because some elves are completely hairless (keep your minds out of the gutter on that one)...

For the record, I think he does have them and for whatever reason they are not very defined. Look at Leliana. Hers are just shadey too.
Yeah, I'm not 100% but I think poorly balanced colors in the blurry close up of his face highlighted his undefined brows. I have friends whose brows are so pale and fine that they're nearly invisible so it could easily be that.

When I was young I had invisibrows. My sisters would tease me about it so one day I drew some on with a permanent marker. Not my finest hour.
I don't know really, it would be weird if he was like a hairless cat. I mean I know I made that comparison way back in this thread. But I was joking.

I have that kind of eyebrow, myself. My eyebrows are almost white and transparent to boot. So no one even notices if they're busy or if I bothered to shape them. So he could have pale eyebrows.
But that said, even from that head-in-profile it looks like he was modified. I do not believe he originally had a cleft chin (maybe he did and I missed it). The nose-to-mouth distance is longer now, and it seems like his upper lip is fuller.

Well elves were always apparently hairless other than eyebrows and what was on their head so I guess we're a little used to the idea

I actually feel like his age is kind of indeterminate. Some aspects of his face make me think "mid-to-late twenties." Others lend the impression he could be in his forties or so, mostly around his eyes--but he looks like he hasn't slept in forever and that will make you look older. It's been mentioned in both the games and the books that elves do not really age the same as humans. Given ideal circumstances, they seem to age more slowly. In the older screenshot, his face looks much younger, early twenties maybe. But that's also a profile shot.

Well, I haven't read anything under spoiler tags but someone who's trying to hide their identity might shave all their hair. Maybe we'll unbutton his shirt and find that the hair on his head migrated to his chest in a strange magical experiment gone wrong
