Oh gosh imagine how we're all going to be like when we finally hear his voice and experience his actual personality, he's going to have us all wrapped around his finger. And when that betrayal speculation comes true we're going to be begging and crying for him not to leave, he can do anything but leave.. (I feel like a bit of a stalker now  )

I know what you mean!  My sister knows I love him already so whenever I force her to look at DA:I stuff she goes out of her way to insult him (jokingly, I can tell she loves him too).  I made the mistake of reading comments on a few articles and pages showing the new trailer and... people are awful.  Poor BSN getting **** for being negative, we're awesome especially compared to the hate-spewing meanies out there.  People say terrible things about characters they don't know.  So weird, but I guess people do that about strangers IRL too.  RynJ, there are characters who've done bad things that I will always forgive   Solas would fall into that category I believe

 

Oh me too. I have a major thing for heavily flawed characters. The more flawed (but not full on villainous, even if I love villains) the better! It's why Anders never bothered me, to use a Dragon Age example. If Solas does something bad, I doubt it'll change my mind if I really fall in love with him!

I think the people who frequent most of these character threads have some overlap with who they enjoy. We should all come together and celebrate the Gorgeousquisition!

This kinda  reminds me of me being a Thanemancer...I feel like I'm going through that again,everybody saying "Yeah Thane died so what it was very touching!"...no it wasn't it sucked! Especially for my Femshep! I guess that's why I'm being so defensive although the game isn't even out yet I feel like Solas is being judged too quickly by some people which he is, I'm not saying everybody needs to like him just stop with the "He's bald nope don't like him"! bs... at least give him a chance or find another darn reason and a good one to not like him...geez!

I was quite surprised about the reaction to him being bald. Of all the things to comment on, although he's in good company (just ask Viv and IB). I actually think my elven Inquisitor will get along with him (discussing and debating the Beyond, the nature of spirits, the duality of Elvhen), while I think that may not be the case with everyone else.
 

Okay...I gotta ask...and this is sorta off topic: What do ya'll think about the not just horses that we will be riding but Halla,Lizard? I can't remember what the other one was...I think that's really neat that we will be able to ride a Halla lol!

I think it's awesome that we can ride a halla, especially since my first run is Dalish. Riding a sacred animal of the People, like the ancient elven knights.

I know, when playing the Dalish Elf Origin, I, like many, observed a striking similarity to Ashitaka of Princess Mononoke.  Having a red halla mount will make the allusion pretty much complete.  ;D

I've got to think he's a fairly confident character too, considering the fact that we've seen him both fighting and hiking in his long underwear.

He told you he was going to die before you romanced him. Why didn't you listen? I have to say though, I found Thane's death one of the most moving because of how they handled it. I needed a pause break after it and I still get teased about that, but whatever.

Small question: people keep quoting that elves are hairless apart from on their heads and eyebrows.   Was this in World of Thedas?   You see I don't recall anyone saying anything in game about elves bodies being hairless.   I know Zevran and my elf Warden didn't have hairy chests but I didn't realise that proved anything.   I know that in D&D lore elves are hairless on their bodies but that is a different game world.    I must admit I would find it odd seeing an elf with a beard but after all that doesn't preclude having hair on your body, otherwise the majority of women, who do not have noticeable facial hair or hairy chests, would not have such a problem with hairy armpits and legs.  So what is the source on hairless elves?

 
I don't think there is one? People were just trying to work out why Solas looked like he had no eyebrows. All we know is that for some reason elves don't have beards. Well there was the one in DAO but I think that was unintentional (or perhaps he was half dwarven).

Also I'm quite surprised they put in a lizard mount in there...maybe I'll have my Male Inquisitor ride that thing...of course lizards walk kind of funny (well to me) lol...I can just see how funny looking he will look on the lizard!

 
In the Drizzt books (D&D) the dark elves have lizard mounts for traveling the Underdark (caves basically), so I wonder if mounts will be terrain specific.

Solas and Cole are going to be besties. Solas is an expert on the Fade, so it would stand to reason that he would be completely fascinated by Cole's mysterious demonic/spirit nature. He will want to study him, and since Cole is extremely lonely, antisocial, and awkward, he will latch onto Solas and the two will be a rather strange duo indeed. 

 

However, there may be a darker side to their 'friendship'.  Cole may end up (perhaps unintentionally) feeding off of the attention and sympathy that Solas provides him, just like he did with Rhys, and he may end up manipulating him in a similar manner.

If that is Cole, I do imagine that he and Solas at the very least would have quite a few conversations! Considering Solas is a fade expert and all.
