I remember reading about several characters surviving he who cannot be named isn't one of them. Though I believe he survives, though Lob made a statement about him being dangerous if heis with the iinquisitor.

If that was me, I likely meant in combat; he seems to be very powerful.

Was it a trust issue, perhaps? In the end, he's revealed to be working with (or for) someone; it doesn't show who, though. Apparently, he was supposed to get the password for the Eluvians, but he intentionally avoids Briala giving him the activation code to access the Eluvians, even though she offers to provide it to him.

Was it him who you remember being called dangerous? Perhaps it was about the surviving Dalish mage, who didn't perish with the rest of her clan.

I think he could be an asset, given his power levels with magic. I don't think the Inquisitor would necessarily be in danger because of him, however. He seems to have some integrity, given his refusal to betray Briana, although his ally or associate might color that perception.

I'm not quite sure why so many people are insistent on BEM being the bald mage from the concept art Apostates**. Literally, the only evidence you have is that he's a mage and bald. Some are spouting off on similar clothing. In the War Room concept art and in a few other pieces, BEM has a large swathe of fur across his chest, coming from one shoulder. In DA:O There are plenty of robes that have the fur shoulder pads that you see in the Apostates concept art. You guys are going crazy with the speculation here. Tone it down a bit. The man's ears aren't even Elven, for cryin' out loud! One old piece of concept art of a bald mage setting fire to some leaves, and people leave this thread believing the BEM to be a runaway Dalish mage that does blood magic.

Yes. Yes, thanks. The concept art I was referencing is the Apostates one. That is the one that we have no proof of being attributed with BEM.
