That whole Nicolas Cage thing is starting to get on my nerves a little bit. It was funny at first but people acting like Solas is literally Nicolas Cage as an elf are being a mite ridiculous.
Agreed. It's 'cool' to mock Solas right now and a lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon. It's getting annoying how people cling to it though it's so obviously not true.

What's so funny is that, from pure appearances, it's not like Nic Cage is ugly anyways! I think people let his ridiculousness as a person and actor bleed into how they feel about the way he looks too.
I still think his and Solas's only resemblance is in their brow now but hey. To me it's just a case of taking something that was silly and funny and turning it into something that...well, isn't. Beating the dead horse to the max

I think some people were actually complaining he looked like Cage in the DHMG thread a while back while debating sexualities. Seems like I saw that somewhere earlier today. Actually, maybe it was the romance specific thread. I don't remember now. lol

That looks amazing! I wish I could draw like that, he looks so realistic, with scars and everything! I like his mouth though, makes him look more friendly

Exactly, it's just like the forums to try and find a meaning behind each thing. I'd rather have atleast something suprise me instead of overthinking everything, but oh well, what else are we supposed to do untill October?

Now about this last supper thing.....when I first saw that pic it didn't just hit me like "This reminds me of The Last Supper"! ...no! I know it's speculation but it just looks like the inquisitor with his companions and advisors coming up with a plan to save the world! *shrug*

People really latch onto things, don't they? To be quite honest, I see it a little. But my first thought was that he looked a bit like a young Christopher Walken (I had recently re-watched The Dead Zone). Which I'm sure may offend some people, because CW isn't known for his good looks (but he is a pretty interesting guy). What can you say really? Cullen has become the Dragon Age version of a Disney prince, DHMG is Errol Flynn and Solas is the odd one. Attractive, but not conventionally so. He was never going to have a big looks-based fandom. Just be glad Dragon Age offers flavours other than vanilla. 
In the screen where everyone is around the table and you see him from the side he looks like Richard O Brien. Which is amazing. I want a new series of Crystal Maze with Solas as host. Or in Dragon Age he can lock me in a room and make me do puzzles

On a totally off topic personal note, my grandma is a fan of my drawings (she likes to draw too) but when I showed her a few of my recent drawings she said "You're talented, it's just a shame you waste it on dragons and elves." Sick burn, Grandma. Sick burn.

You're right, we can't really deny that he's a bit... unconventional I really love what Bioware has done this time around giving us companions that are diverse and flawed, which makes them more realistic and attractive (to me at least, can't speak for anyone else). Some of the companions make me think of high fashion models whose awkward features are what define them and make them famous. Solas and Cass have unique features that are make them particularly interesting to look at and Sera literally looks like a girl from America's Next Top Model a few years ago (not that I watch >.>). Not to mention their faces are mostly symmetrical, which makes them appealing.

I'm really fine with how the companions of this game have turned out they all look Great in their own way...except Vivienne she looks like a Super Model...I swear when I look at her it's like "Is she really a Mage for The Divine she looks more like a Fashionista!" 
But she looks Great never the less!
I think Solas is very handsome, but you're right that it isn't a conventional sort of attractiveness. He's also interesting, and for me that counts for a lot.
I think Solas is Attractive but in his own way he doesn't look like anybody else I know of! But of course someone is going to compare one these characters to somebody else in rl and that's fine....I'm just putting out my own opinion!
I'm sorry if it seemed I was targeting you, Roxy. I was just addressing the overall Solas = Nic thing and you were the last in line. I wasn't trying to shut down your opinion or anything.
