I hope Dorian is as smokin' in his character kit! When it comes down to it, we really haven't gotten a good look at him. Though it was the same with Solas a little while ago and I certainly wasn't disappointed when we finally saw him! I'm sure it'll be the same with Ser Mustache.

To be honest, BioWare is damned no matter what they do. Unfortunately, not everyone will be happy with the choices we have been given.

 

True. Based on looks alone, my top three aren't even likely romances. But I'm not very invested so it's all good.

Of all the companions, he's the one I'd be able to pull off the best as a costume.

Well, I get the feeling that they will end up making Cullen straight, since so many people have begged for that.  I have little to no interest in Cullen, as I intend to play a mage and I don't want to pursue someone who won't see my character as a person.  Not only that but he never really interested me that much in the first place.  Sure, flirting with him as Selika Surana waaaaay back when was adorable, but... meh.  He's really good-looking, but I never felt that he was all that fleshed-out or interesting.  That may very well change in DA:I, but I still would avoid him because he's going to be an advisor, chances are, and not a companion.

 

And Mort, eluvianix, I'm glad you guys understand that will really stink for those of us women who aren't Cullen fans, if we don't happen to also get a genuinely good option for romance on the companion side of things.  For instance, if Solas turns out to be a total jerk or just creepy or something, or if we end up with, say, Iron Bull and he's basically a giant Oghren filled with belches and fart jokes.

 

Some would argue "Oh good the straight people get the short end for once," but... straight women have pretty much always gotten the short end, with games.  Sure, we have had it better than the LGBT community, but that isn't saying a whole lot, you know...

 

I am really hoping Solas turns out to be bisexual, but if he is, that probably makes Cullen straight, and then the men who love Cullen to bits won't get him either.  And I also have to say, DHMG is pretty darn attractive and I wouldn't mind having a character pursue him, but it seems to me he's most likely to be gay.  And yet, he's got lots of fangirls, and they will be upset if they don't get a piece of that.  I think not having the companions, at least, all be bisexual may end up causing a firestorm on the forums.  I'll just go dark for a while, if that's the case, because I don't want part of that drama...

 

In any case, the only characters I have planned are my female Dalish mage, who I hope can pursue Solas, and maybe my female qunari whose class I have yet to decide, who may remain celibate, but we'll see what her options are...

Well, it's not like I can sew or anything. I can always just throw on a white sheet, shave, and work some magic on my 'stache. I already have the hair down pat as is.

No, but his eye color hasn't been confirmed as blue have they? IMO they are way too blue in the fan art. If he does have blue eyes, I'm hoping they aren't such a light shade.

I think they're all attractive in one way or another, but personality plays a pretty big part in how attractive I think someone is (reason why I ditched Anders, despite thinking he was pretty - also why I ended up with Isabela despite thinking she looked trashy). I actually would rank Vivienne at the top at the moment, because I do know something about her personality. But I am not letting myself fall into that trap. If I believed there was a chance, maybe then. But it's just very unlikely.

I'm kind of with Banxey on this.  I am hoping Solas is awesome, because I know Cullen will be an option for the women and yet I don't care for him that much.  So that means half of my options will be out already.  If Solas turns into a horror, or is creepy, or disrespectful, or not even available, that pretty much leaves, well, whomever is left (DHMG maybe, which wouldn't be bad at all, except it's like getting chocolate ice cream when you wanted triple fudge or something--so it's good but not as good as what you wanted would have been, or... well, Cullen.  Or no one, if Solas is the bisexual option.),   But mostly I'm not counting my chickens because if I get really attached to a character I know I'll end up disappointed.  Whereas, if I don't get attached, I should be able to be satisfied with whichever character there is, or equally satisfied just bromancing everyone and proudly wearing my invisible "love is for losers" sign.

Solas has pretty interesting eyes, too, though. I'm still thinking that violet might be some kind of tie back to Felassan. Definitely a big coincidence that they'd both have violet eyes when it's something we haven't seen on another elf that I remember before.

As for the LI debate, weeeeeell it won't be pretty if Solas is the bi option and Dorian the gay. We're going to see a LOT of complaints about that, I predict. Such as: eeeew bald people

Yo DHMG fans, on a scale of 1 to fan sobbing how disappointed will you be if Dorian doesn't end up actually having blue eyes? That seems to be a popular idea!

I like Cullen but honestly if he's an NPC romance, it's not going to be as enticing. I like having my LI around to fight by my PC even if there isn't any extra romance dialogue. It's just more fun that way!

Meh, f*ck 'em. I could care less if they don't like Solas. The whole "eeeeeww bald people" is dumb in my opinion. They can complain all they want. I'm just gonna enjoy looking at all the hot guys I get to romance.
