Can't we just go back to the theory where Solas is a nerd whose best friends are books, so he lives alone in the wilderness. I liked that one.

When you guys discuss these theories it occurs to me once more that we know pretty much flat out nothing about Solas. It's funny because he feels like such old news but really he isn't.
What, the betrayal one? Nope nope nope.
Mostly the part where they develop a strange, dweeby friendship. Cole inadvertently preying on Solas's attention and sympathy need not happen, but it would be interesting.

Most things in DA games end up being pretty morally grey. I wouldn't write anyone off as the bad guy right away. I imagine almost everyone has their own multi-faceted goals. Save for the Archdemon, basically everyone has been some shade of grey.

The archdemon was only evil because his soul was corrupted, like Anders. 
Yeah, even if Solas is a big bad, I know I'll be able to at least sympathize with his cause in some way. I mean, come on, Loghain. I hate that man, but I still feel a tiny pang of guilt killing him (in every single playthrough 
) because some of his motivations made sense.

Well, Anders and Loghain are pretty good examples of what I mean. Individually, you might feel like they were "bad guys" and what they did was "wrong", but a lot of people support their choices and really like the characters. I think that's how it will play out with Solas, if he is a major part of the plot. There's a good chance that Solas could do something that some of us wont like, but other people will probably think he's a hero for it. That's the way DA tends to play it. It's less hoping he wont be a "bad guy" and more hoping he'll be on your side of the issues, I think.
Who else will take up fanfic writing if Solas is unavailable...? Besides probably me, that is. (And I don't write smut.)

This might be weird, but PJ solas is the sexiest Solas fan art I've seen so far. Maybe it's because I read that gesture as "get in the bedroom" before I saw the text under the picture though

On another note I think it's safe to say my theory has been shot down, or at least a bunch of holes have been punched into it. I do hope that will at least make Buckels morning better, whenever s/he returns.

Sorry I weirded you out, that wasn't my intention at all! I love how plush and cuddly PJ Solas is I use the word "sexy" pretty loosely (very often I could/should replace the word with adorable, appealing, endearing, etc) and I'm more than a little obsessed with Solas so every piece of fan art that adds to his hypothetical personality and character just adds fuel to the fire.
Again, they're completely innocuous, beautiful drawings and I love your depiction of Solas

^THIS. I just ran out of likes for the first time ever and I'm not even done with my coffee! I should have stayed up later! I will once I'm done with this stupid apocalyptic sinus event I have going on right now. But I woke up with the Shaft theme song stuck in my head, which I'm certain is helping with my recovery. "You see this cat Solas is a bad mother--shut your mouth!"

I don't even know what else to say except I'm still laughing at all the awesome of the last few pages AND I agree with I think it was eluvianx...I think we're getting Cullen, Solas and Dorian for male LIs. I will be really, really surprised if we don't. I'm not against Feathers or IB at all, and count me among those who'd love to see a Qunari romance at some point (actually, it would be funny if you could romance IB but ONLY as a Qunari...and really, if you tried with anyone else that character would probably end up in traction, dude is huge), but my guess is they're sticking with the ones with ostensibly the broadest appeal, which is humans and elves who look about the right age. But we'll see! Someday. When we get more info. *looks at calendar* *sighs*

Aw, that would be sweet! I loved it in Origins where your LI gave you a gift. Would maybe rather not have something fashioned out of a bit of skull, but I guess if it's made with love...
I feel lost without my supply of likes. I...I don't know what to do! It doesn't seem like I should be out! Why is there a limit? I'm confused! 
I actually broke down and went to the doctor a couple of days ago, which I never do unless I'm so completely wretched I can no longer live with myself. The antibiotics are working, just slooooowly. Should be back to my night owl self before long. Hopefully my senses of taste and smell will return along with my stamina! Until then, yeah, coffee it is. Buckets and buckets of coffee. Though that's not really out of the norm for me.
