I am buying on the PC, and probably for one of the consoles (might even be the 360...not sure yet). My husband doesn't play video vames any more, but he still enjoys watching. Much harder for him to do that at my home office desk.

My only real problem with getting a gaming PC is that I just want to plug it in and not worry about anything. My experience with PCs has been that you usually have to mess around with them first or even download the game from a server despite buying the game disc. I am even considering paying a premium to get one of those small form alienware type PCs, which seems like a compromise (can plug into my TV without having to get new furniture to accommodate it). But they cost about four times as much as an xbox where I live.

Ok, so this question is going to sound really raunchy, but it's not >.<  If Solas and femQuisitor were getting romantic, which one would be pushed against the wall?  I guess you could replace that with who'd be on top during horizontal kissing.  This is a purely academic question btw   for future works, you know!

Yes, I know there's been a surplus of blonde male LIs, but I have no problem with it.  Frankly I never even saw any actual stubble so I think he's totally hairless, eyebrows included.

 

And what if he did turn out to have some hair stubble (I don't really think he does, I maintain that I don't see it, but maybe I am not looking closely enough?) and it turned out to be not blonde or brown or black but red?  Would that cause such an outcry of dismay?

 

The developers designed Solas the way he is for a reason.  If they chose to give him blond hair, brown hair, black hair, or Heaven forbid if he should *gasp* even be a redhead, if he weren't, you know, bald thereby making the argument irrelevant entirely--then I am okay with it.  I think I'd still find him interesting if his hair were as grey as Fenris's, or as white as the driven snow, or Targaryen silver-blond.  Ultimately it's not about what we find the most sexy.  He is very likely to not even be an LI, disappointing as that notion is.  And, if he is available for romance, well, there's a lot more to a person than the color of their hair.

 

FYI I think it'd be awesome if he were a redhead, or had super-pale hair, etc.  Maybe that's why he shaves his head, because he'd be too noticeable and distinct if he didn't.  Or maybe he's just naturally hairless or hairless due to some magical accident.  I'm more curious, at the moment, about who he is and whether I'll actually want to have my Inquisitor spend time around him, than I am in something as minor and arbitrary as what color of hair he might have, if he were to have hair at all.  Which he doesn't.

 

The "but--but I wanted him to have dark hair stubble" argument is just as bad as the "OMG he's ugly because he's BALD" argument.  And I will point out that whatever color his hair may be (assuming he can even grow it at all), if you aren't too concerned about his personality, he still has a cute enough face that why do you even care about his hair color?  ... Seriously...  But since we don't even know his personality, I'd hold off on bemoaning the color of his nonexistent hair.  He might turn out to be someone you wouldn't want your Inquisitor to get tangled up with at all.  And he could very well be unavailable for a variety of reasons, and only be there to tease us, sort of like Varric.

I said I might be crazy for seeing stubble there   I won't care either way because even if I DID care, the guy's bald anyways so his possible hair color doesn't really matter.

 

As for if he was a redhead, I would want to high-five him! I too am part of the very exclusive Redhead Club.

Well if you ever picked up an anti-blonde message from me, then I'm sorry my opinions were unclear. I want dark hair because we haven't had it before, not because of some dislike of pale hair. My husband and all but one of my family members is blonde BTW

Saying you prefer a hair colour isn't the same as saying someone is ugly because they're bald (which is what happened early in this thread). Nobody said Solas would be ugly as a blonde. They just stated their preferences. 

 

I think what people were complaining about was the lack of dark-haired men in the DA games.

 

FYI, I'm a natural blonde. And I've been known to appreciate redheads. But I like a nice dark-haired man and will instantly not like said dark-haired man if he turns out to be an ***hat. We've got nothing to go on regarding Solas' personality. What difference does it make if people dislike the colour of his hair? He could be a prince among boys, or a huge whiny pain in the butt. Either way, his hair colour wont matter to anyone.
