Does Solas's eyes look purple to anyone? or grey? I cant tell ...

He is too similar to Nicholas Cage, it bothers me.  I hope he doesn´t like like him when I get to know him better...

Now I can't stop imagining him having the voice of Nicolas Cage. "Aaah! Not the bees!"

 

The more I see of Solas the more I like him. His baldness looks very strokable.

If you look up close his eyes do look purple-ish....I thought they were grey at first too until I saw a closer view of him!

He looks like he has eyebrows to me, I think they're just not particularly dark. Though in the one in-game shot where he's got his arms spread and is channeling the power of his long johns (or something), his brows look very defined.  Likely depends on the lighting.  Regardless, I think they're there.

 

Totally agree that we tend to be gifted with the League of Extraordinarily Good-Looking Companions.  There's something for everyone!  I suspect I'm not alone in this thread when I say that I like Solas because he has an interesting face, as opposed to a conventionally pretty one.  Not that I'm opposed to conventionally pretty (at ALL)...but I'm just as apt to obsess over an Alan Rickman as a Chris Evans.  They're compelling in entirely different ways, and so are our companions.  I'm just anxious for a taste of their voices and personalities, because that's really what makes them our favorites, right?  I keep thinking of DHMG as Freddie Mercury, which may make him a permanent member of my party if his personality is even a little like that.

You are so right.  I've read plenty of peoples' posts saying they don't find a single character attractive enough to be their LI, but holy ****, I don't know how my Inquisitor is going to save the world with all those freakishly good looking companions distracting her.

What is funny about that is that on Gaider's and Matt Rhodes' Tumblrs, they basically talked about how they were trying to focus on making the companions' appearances reflect their personal characteristics rather than prioritizing conventional attractiveness. And now, here we are with an assortment of attractive companions. I think Gaider even mentioned that one character ended up being more attractive than he had specified to the art department.

Inquisitor: *staring at the smoking, gore-splattered ground* "Where did you learn to make a demon explode like that?  I've never seen it done with quite so much, erm, flair."

DHMG: *glances at Solas, lips twitching* "Well..."

Solas: *shaking his head a little with an amused curve of his lips* "Just say it. I can see it's killing you."

I LOVE your drawings of him...they're what sealed my mental image of him as Freddie!  Dashing, mustachioed sass...he's perfect.  Helps that I'm a huge Queen fan...how can I not have Freddie on my team?  And you just know he'd be a flamboyant Tevinter magister if you put him in Thedas.

(new here) I must admit, only a week or so ago, the only character I would have liked as a romance for my female Inquisitor would have been Varric. Now I have passed to the Bald Side, and I would really like Solas.

Mmmm I think the Freddie Mercury/DHMG comparison played a huge role in my obsession with Dorian (I'm so calling him Dorian).  Solas' unconventionally attractive face is a huge plus for me.  I hope his personality is equally unconventionally appealing   When I was in high school I stopped telling friends who my celebrity crushes were after they made fun of Hugo Weaving.  Jerks

 

Edit:  I think all the companions look a little smooth and blurry in the group shot so I can't even imagine how incredible DHMG will look in game.

What color is his eyes in game? I can't really see that clearly. If they're indeed blue, then I guess Bioware quit all elves having the same eye color?? Although Tallis had blue eyes...
