Sure, sure right now the fan art may be cute and Solas helping you count sheep but in a few months there's gonna be tons of passionate Inquisitor x Solas art all around the internet. I can't browse deviantart without coming across something that makes go "Oh dear..." and blush like an idiot atleast once whilst searching for Dragon Age related companion stuff.. I bet all those Solas heretics will be nowhere to be seen once we can play the game

For some reason I can see Solas being "that character that everybody likes" even when not romancing. And that's not just my bias talking. Though Iron Bull will probably fit into that role too.

There have been a few times where I watch a playthrough of the game before I play a game cause I don't want my character to be running around like a chicken with it's head cut off lol

 

 

 

 

 

Well E3 is not too long from now so we will be getting some info soon maybe even before then...I hope they have a video of all the characters talking or see them in battle! It would also be nice to see what the GW and DHMG's real name are!

A while ago, the devs decided to give the characters a defining food that represents their personalities. However, they only told us the foods they came up with at first and not which characters they coincide with. A few of those foods have been officially matched to characters over time but others are just speculation.

 

People have made charts but I'm not sure where to go dig for one!

A scotch bonnet is a hot pepper that's like a habanero. So we guess it's candied hot peppers. Only other option is some candy store chain by the same name and we doubt that's it.

Yeah the peppers are treated with a sugar solution until most of the water in the pepper is replaced by sugar.  They're sweet, but they still look like a pepper and keep most of the heat.

thank you for the answer. I have...really not idea of what kind of food is a scotch bonnet, but I'm gonna trust you girls/guys on this.

Solas: (looking through the stack of papers) Do you get drawings too? Andraste's knickers some of these are graphic (picks up another paper) and anatomically impossible.

I wouldn't mind a trickle. But it seems we get a flood followed by long periods of drought. The advertising is obviously targeted at more people than the ones who visit these boards (which is understandable), but they seem to underestimate how valuable small pieces of information (not just pictures) can spark discussion and draw people in. They wouldn't even have to spoil the game to release tidbits about character traits (or even names). They don't even need to directly assign that information to any character in particular (people are still talking about the food). But it seems the only character who gets random pieces of information attributed to them with any regularity is Cullen, and that's because his VA has become enraptured by his fandom.

I have five different character threads I occasionally de-lurk and post in, and I can confirm that all of them are indeed sustaining themselves on fan-art and fumes.

 

As for scotch bonnet candies, if they do indeed retain most of their heat, then I'm thinking that Solas may be more spicy than sweet, which could be . . . cool.

Well, last year's E3 had that long demonstration video..I'm really hoping we get another one this year with different companions. As much as I love Varric/Cassandra/Vivienne I'd really enjoy seeing some of our other ones in action. Solas would obviously be my first pick, especially if we could hear a snippet of his voice

It has, but I'm pretty sure I've forgotten what everyone thinks so I'm prepared to go there again.  

 

I have to admit, my mind always goes to sexy connotation of spicy. Yet back when i thought it refereed to Cassandra I figured it meant that she had a fiery temper, yet was also kind of sweet. But based on looks alone, I have a bit of difficulty applying this to Solas. I think now Cassandra has been revealed to be a baguette, and would assume that means she is hard on the outside but soft and fluffy in the middle. So it could mean what I thought Scotch Bonnet Candy meant, but does that mean that SBC is the sexy kind of spicy after all? Or does it mean that outwardly he looks kind of sweet, but if you dig a little deeper you find something fiery.
