If we're going Irish, I'd really love it if it was Abbott Caellach from the Secret of Kells.  He just delivers an amazing performance, and I love his voice.  Although everyone in that movie had great voices.  If you guys haven't seen it, I'd recommend it.  Beautiful animation, superb voice acting, and great characterization.  My only point of 'meh' is the first five minutes or so.

On a more serious note, I didn't realise until now that the voice Autumn Crowe was referring to was the actor who played Mad-Eye Moody in the HP films.

All these revelations about the ancient elves so far makes me even more curious about them...And I really like the theory of Solas somehow being one,it would be fascinating.

Same. I've been dying of curiosity about that from the moment they started discussing some of the world lore on the forums. Okay, so my very first reaction was..."Your giving us elves, but fake/broken elves?! WTH!" Then they said, calm the eff down and wait and see. And man, I really do love their elves. I still want to learn about their ancestors though. And I'd love a game that's set back when the cool stuff existed, or if this Rift causes a kind of world reset where we get some of the cool things back. That would be neat.

I don't know why, but I could see him voiced by the cute Doctor. I just...imagine this dry sort of thing going on with him. I LOVE that film. It's a great one when I want the Kittens to sit and just relax. But...very much due to that fact. I SOOOOOO do not want Solas to have the same voice as the Abbot...

I'd love him to have a non-American accent (mostly because I'm surrounded by American accents at all times, so my preference is for something different), but as long as he isn't a Merrill-esque ditz, I'm good with whatever.  I know it's just a personal preference thing, but Merrill really overshot adorable and landed smack in the middle of annoying for me.  I rarely brought her along.  If Solas is a bit awkward, I hope that sort of awkward isn't what they mean.  The smirk in the war room art gives me hope.

It's nothing personal against the actor or his voice. It's just that after Burial at Sea EP2 I wouldn't want to be playing DAI and realise that the character I'm hoping to like has the same voice as a monster like Atlas. I just have no positive associations of that voice at all. Brendan Gleeson is different because he has done quite a lot of varied roles, so it's hard to pin him down with just one. It's not fair to Atlas' VA of course, he is a decent actor. But I hate Atlas with a fiery passion.

I like his voice. It has a bit of a rough edge to it. I'm not sure if I'm sold on Solas having an accent though.
