It would be Marvelous if all that happened at E3...but of course we all know not to get our hopes to high,but I'm sure we will get plenty of info for us to talk about when it happens next month!

True. But I have found that the closer we get to the release date, the more it hurts. The day before DA:II's release I was barely functional. lol

Bah! It's not really that long. And, it's before Christmas so I might even get a chance to actually play the game before the next crunch time hits at work. I can take my time to hang out with Solas.
I was thinking more about what his personality might be like. Most of us have been assuming that the sweet will trump the hot. And I do wonder if the heat suggests a hot temper, or if he's generally an impassioned character (which would likely remind me of Garrus, and that's not a bad thing).
If the heat comes before the sweet, he might be the sort to taunt, argue, and incite arguments in others, then hang back and watch the fire rage. Buuuuurn. Then you get to know him and, despite his being a monumental jerk socially, he turns out to be caring and compassionate.
If the sweet comes before the heat, he might seem friendly enough until you find an issue he doesn't like talking about. And then you'll argue.
If sweet and heat are equal, well... there's no telling what he's like, other than passionate (likely) and caring. Which, again, might be rather Garrus-like, though I do not expect any sort of Garrus personality clone out of Solas.
So the question is, which will we notice first, the sweet or the heat, or both at once? And then the second question is, which of those is dominant? Because even if we notice the sweet or the heat first, that part is not necessarily the main aspect of his personality. Maybe he seems sweet at first but his temper and sarcasm become the dominant aspects of his personality. Or maybe he seems acerbic and grumpy and then we realize that he's actually mostly a kind, gentle sort of person. Or maybe neither is dominant and there's no telling what to expect from him. For all we know he has two personalities.
I remember that show.

Let's see, from what we could see in the concept art pieces he doesn't appear to be all that acerbic and grumpy. That could have changed, of course, but his grumpy-ish faces in screen shots don't mean much when it's probably just his default expression. He seems to have a general smirkiness in the art so maybe he's sweet but there's a heat underlying it that can bite you if you're not careful. He certainly seemed amused about everyone freaking out over that map 
Or maybe he's just really fierce when you tick him off and is fiery in combat or impassioned about something. Or maybe he's just passionate in general?
Considering scotch bonnet candies are still candies I can't imagine that sweet wouldn't be a huge part of it, though. Maybe both parts are equally important? It's one thing to call somebody a candy with some hot pepper flakes in it but he's a full on hot pepper made into a candy!
I wonder if devs ever read this speculation and shake their heads about how much we think about these things

There's always that "Argh the deadline is approaching" anxiety as well as that fear of releasing "into the wild" and the anxiousness of "I hope they like it!!" Happened for me on both Dragon Age games. It's probably happening a bit less for me on DAI, likely due to a degree of experience.
