Found Solas again at the grocery store:

Aaaw I was at Walmart the other day should have looked to see if they had any Scotch Bonnet peppers there.

Just had the weird thought that if Solas is available to romance to female Inquisitors, my Inquisitor's romance with him could begin when he catches her sneaking to pet/snuggle his fur wrap thing when she thinks he's not looking.  Awkwardness would ensue.

Yeah, the rank 4 wolf looks a lot like a striped hyena or aardwolf (which is a termite-eating... hyena).  The rank 2 and 3 wolf look like they have scars or something, but I think they are different colored stripes.  Only the rank 1 wolf looks like a normal wolf.  So, it's conceivable the fur may be from a wolf, but again, to me, that fur texture Solas wears doesn't look wolfish.  Wolves also have shaggier fur...

 

Oops. I didn't mean that it was Solas' wolf, I just thought it would be cool if that colour was an option for a pelt colouring. But yeah, the lower level wolves are less awesome looking.

I didn't think you did.  But that wolf seriously does look more like a hyena.  But yes, it would be a cool variation if you could use it for his pelt.  Cool, but strange.  Solas in zebra print...?

And yet, I can guarantee that if he is an option, it won't come about in that way.  We'll probably never see the Inquisitor digging his/her fingers through that wonderfully soft pelt.  And yet it would almost be worth romancing him solely to do so, for amusement value.  (But really, I hope his Scotch bonnet personality is awesome and likeable...)

I agree that it looks like a bear. Though the "great wolves" in TWoT look like they have fairly thick pelts so maybe it's a great wolf. I'm just glad it doesn't look like it matches this guy:

I want this for a pet in the game.  Forget the mabari.  This little guy looks like he could ride on your shoulder and be trained to steal things.

 

Why does it figure that the one weekend I have to be away without much internet access there's a new screenshot?!  Solas has such a clever face.  So much smirking...  

 

It needs to not be June yet because I have a lot of stuff to do but then again WHY IS IT NOT JUNE YET.  With so little info on him, this thread may have turned into a Scotch Bonnet pepper recipe exchange by then.

They have all the companions and who they might represent. I found it interesting because they have Cole as Judas, not Solas.

As an Australian I fully endorse this comparison.

It's an interesting analysis. I just have a hard time believing the marketing people who made the trailer put that much work into matching the members of the Inquisition to biblical figures. They'd have been much better off devoting that time to helping whoever was supposed to do the dev diaries, or follower friday. Though it's nice to see Solas isn't made Judas for once.

Well I'm glad you're drawing something. I got bored and started doing something but it is not going well.

Whenever I start something I hate how it looks for the first 5 hours or so, then it looks... salvageable... for awhile and out of nowhere it suddenly looks like something I feel comfortable sharing   I'm learning to power through the "this is so awful nothing good will ever come of this" stage to get to something better.  (Pssssst, I want to see it someday! )
