Maybe Square Enix only wants to pay for two different language options. I can see that as a possibility.
all the KH had subtitles in Italian, and Spanish. but fot KH 3D square skipped those languages, making sub only in english, french and german. quite disappointing.

Ah I feel your pain, nothing ever gets translated into Dutch, we don't even get subtitles let alone actual spoken dialogue. Oh well, I guess otherwise I would never have spoken English this well if there was 
*GASP* That was Fenris!? Boy, am I glad he turned out to look the way he does now. I don't know though, for some reason I'd rather have a bald character (and Solas) than a half bald shaven character.. it just looks odd... Maybe because it reminds me too much of dem young kids here trying to be tough and shaving their heads in all sorts of weird patterns.
There seems to be a lot of early Fenris concepts floating around. Even now Matt Rhodes is still re-designing him. Someone posted the image a week or so back in this thread, but I felt it was appropriate to re-link it as a refresher. I recall reading something about him not being settled on the Fenris we see on DA2, but time constraints ended with Fenris being the Fenris we know now.
Ha ha ha, dem young kids hairdo! It's not that odd, but my opinion on the matter is swayed by my sister who has a similar hair-do. Anyway, Solas' head is what it is now. May we all have good luck if we rub it (That was a tumblr joke I read in the Solas tag I... couldn't help but post it here).

eh, I'm mostly autodidact in english, but mostly I can thanks videogames for what little I know. Iìm a little annoyed with Square because I find quite annoyng the decision to cut out language in a series that had always had sub. It's...disappointing.
Not many games are voiced in Italian, by the way. luckily, those that are now usually have decent VA, like ME (oh. now that I think about it...Italian maleShep is the voice of in Jak in Jak and Daxter. O_o Now I remember why I love that voice ) in PS1 era where all non-professional, and the acting was atrocious

I was never that keen on the pretty-boy Fenris design. I think I'm caught up on the anime hair... it's just... the white anime hair... can't take things seriously with hair like that...

I do wonder that too. The concepts for the characters seem to play off one another. Even early clothing concepts, though they now have distinct garb that differentiates them from one another. Not that I mind, I just wonder... I wonder if it'll play into personality as well... especially some of the concepts (such as Cassandra) were pushed to convey personality rather than appeal.

Agreed. I don't even think it's the color of the hair so much as the style. That hair-style doesn't look right on somebody who isn't 14 or in an anime. It just didn't work right with his face or voice or personality 
As much as I love Fenris, I'm not so in love with his hair. According to that re-design, he rocks the bald look too! Though he's noticeably bulkier in that art which is probably how he should have always been. When squishy mage Solas looks just as solid as 'warrior swinging around a huge sword' Fenris (I think Solas's thighs are actually bigger) there's a problem

I honestly think the response might have varied. I mean, as we've seen, there's plenty of people who aren't very keen about Solas being bald. What I see in that concept is that he looks (to me) far more savage; he has seen some sh*t and he has been through some sh*t, and it's actually that savagery that I find has a sense of beauty to it. Granted, there will always be people who do the whole "I don't really like you, but I find you incredibly attractive, so let's bang" but that's just a thing that will happen.

Me too, strangely enough I see things in Fenris' concept art that could fit Solas too, especially because of the whole "spicy pepper" thing he's supposed to have going on. Up untill now we've only seen him calm and smirking, so I'm quite curious what the other side of him is supposed to look like. I agree with Karm that I quite like the savage look he has there, and I can imagine that we can see that a bit in Solas too. Mang, I now feel bad for picking apart Fenris' appearance over something as dumb as hair, it's like the people who don't like Solas because he's bald. What sort of person am I? A hypocrite that's what! ahhhhh! But yeah... been watching too much anime to know where that hairstyle/color comes from. I guess, the moral of the story is that the re-design seems stronger and more appropriate for what he has gone through and who he is now.
I do wonder if the re-design reflects how elves will look in the third game. (as opposed to working with the DA2 elves base) Which, I must say, I'm glad they didn't go with the same base as DA2. I understand the need to create more distinct differences in the races, other than having elves just be humans with pointy ears, but it wasn't the best move. Egh... now that I think about it... I didn't mind the build so much, it was the faces that I wasn't keen on. Oh well, it's water under the bridge.

Yeaaaahhhh uh... I should have checked myself and said 'I' instead of making a general statement.
But, yes, his base appearance (not taking into consideration his clothing) seems more appropriate for what he has gone through. I do like the outfit change, but I almost think the DA2 outfit was more Tevinter style (which I always associate with pointy/ triangle-ness). Unless he doesn't get something as fancy considering he was a slave, a 'special' slave, but a slave nonetheless.
Haaaa... I would have possibly been guilty of that in this one case. Then again, I didn't give him much of a chance because he bickered so much with Anders (who I needed to heal everybody because darn that potions limit!) I was like 'no más'!!! And then barely brought him along.

The rivalmances were so hilarious to me. I don't know, I never rivalmanced in DA2, but I did make Anders and Merrill hella mad at me and I could only imagine if they were in a romance with my Hawke how horrible it would have been for either of them. I should have clarified that it was about me, myself, not liking or feeling neutral towards a character, but depending on how I play the main character they may be friends.

But seriously, it's not a problem . And I know it was all about Fenris, but I felt that throwing Solas in the mix and why some people don't like him (for their purely aesthetic reasons at this point) seemed appropriate. On the whole "Fenris' clothes made sense at least because their style was more of a Tevinter thing" I can agree, but I was mainly talking about his general build in the concept - tattoos too - and, I don't know, it could've looked interesting! And I can understand you not giving him much of a chance since, a lot of times (especially early on), he can come off as a bit of a douche -- namely to mages due to obvious reasons.

I don't have a bloody clue as to what he's holding, that stupid satchel is in the way darn it.. I thought that maybe he was pointing at something? Well I guess it's only going to be harder Carpool, because there's still an Inquisitor edition to be released, and who knows what's in there I'm a sucker for art too, but I refuse to put down that much money even for a collectors edition with that much stuff, it's just too much for me to spend.
