From a Gamestar gaming article, which is only in German at the moment; a few folks managed to get that much translated. Same place where the info about Solas came from. The English version of the article is due out on Wednesday.  If you keep an eye on the Twitter thread, that will be the best place to find out more official news.

So how is it pronouced? As it is, I'm reading it as "Solus" as in "Mordin Solus" and that is annoying me.

Since Solas is an Irish name, it would probably sound like: Sul-luss.  

 

That's just my guess though.  We probably won't get any WoG on the pronunciation of his name until Wednesday.

It's the small head and the fact that Solas' art looks like a bit like her dad that creeped her out.  We've both confessed an attraction to the Qunari, even though we aren't fans of the Qun.  

 

Besides, a little heavy metal fix always cheers her up.

It's about managing expectation to avoid firestorm later when the real facts comes out and people go all "you lied" when they never said anything in the first place. It's a bit like all the people saying Solas used to be Dorian, well Gaider also said he never was so the idea of switcharoo can be dropped.

 

 

Although, if the magazine is wrong with the character name and the fact he is a Dreamer, well I'm not trusting the rest of the article personally. I will wait for dev edited information with correct spelling and facts.

Oh, you misunderstood.  The Qunari, as a race, I find interesting and admittedly attractive.  The Qun, as in the philosophy, is what I don't like.  I know Div feels the same way.  If he's Vashoth, then that makes him even that more appealing as a potential companion.

The article says that Solas is an expert on the fade. It doesn't call him a dreamer at all, so that rumour was probably a reading mistake. The Autor also stopped by the twitter thread and clarified that the wrong Name was his mistake and couldn't be corrected in time. Just to clear things up a little. ; )

I do agree that Solas and Vivienne are going to clash over the whole Circle collapse issue. He still strikes me as Dalish, either an exile or just never got the writing for some reason. I think he'll be our anti-Circle foil to Vivienne.

That would be nice; having at least one companion who can relate to your Dalish protagonist's terminology (like with the usage of Shemlen or Durgen’len), cultural views (spirits ), and religious faith.

Perhaps that will be the case, given how Vivienne is pro-Circle. I'm wondering how Vivienne would respond to a non-Circle mage and Solas.

Err... I'm going to just suggest that people wait until they either read the article proper, or wait for something in their own language.

Okay, okay...so what's the popular theory?  That Solas is a Tevinter magister AND a somniari?  Completely okay with that, yes I am!  Make him a love interest and I am a happy, happy lady.

I really really hope so that the chance of Solas being a dreamer still is there, since I'd see great potential in that. Otherwise it might even feel like a missed opportunity.

I personally think it'd be too OP, considering our lore on Dreamers. Unless they significantly downgrade Dreamer's abilities.
