I've been kind of assuming that's what's in his backpack, but...what if he IS a Necromancer? What's he lugging around in there? Also, wondering about it has gotten the Dora the Explorer "Backpack" song stuck in my head on repeat, which is not okay.
This. I would LOVE to have healer options, because it was the same in Origins. You want a healer, you bring Wynne. And I like Wynne well enough, but not enough to want her along all the time.

Sorry for triple post and all that...
I think we are getting into subjects that are dark and weird cause we don't have a lot to discuss about Solas we've pretty much touched just about every subject we can with him and we don't know hardly anything about him.

Here's to wishing and wanting. I'll just be laughing at all the prompts I'll eventually draw (and that I need to actually complete, I think I have started three but have already scrapped them) and how some will be wildly out of character or inaccurate.
Anyway, back on topic, I do wonder who is in the new picture. Yes, we assume Solas because... well... bald. Though he's looking pretty bulky there. Like he's been having square meals or something. But what of the one with the lighter hair? Hm.... I wonder if that's an older design of Sera since she originally had longer hair. If that's the case, YAHHHH Sera news yahhhhh! But out-dated design, perhaps.

You could always draw on paper and scan it/take a picture of it! (that's what I do when I don't try my hand at mouse drawing

At first I thought Sera as well, but I think it could also be the third rogue - that everyone seems to have come to agreement to be Cole - because if you look at the group shot, he's got some pretty wild hair going on (looks a bit longer than Sera's)

There does seem to be a bit of death symbolism surrounding him. And I suppose in this day and age that is always seen as a rather dark and negative thing.

You can give Morrigan the Spirit Healer spec. That's what I always do. I love Wynne, but Morrigan being horrible always makes me laugh. I think since they're going to restrict our potion use it would be extreme if they don't at least let every mage have some form of healing spell.

In his pack, Solas has enough critter bones to have his own small army of skeletal nugs. Also, it has a hidden pouch for snacks because reasons.

I wonder if the monoprice is any good. Uh, I'm sure you have your reasons for not purchasing anything new, but those monoprice tablets... been thinking of trying out the thing they've produced to combat the cintiq. That or wait until someone puts an older cintiq model on ebay for a reasonable price. In any event, I hope your situation is resolved soon so we can flood the thread with viewtiful pictures until more substantial information is released.
I thought the one in the middle was the Inquisitor. But... uh... who could it be if it is not... then....??? Hmmmmm...
EDIT: I also had some colleagues who purchased and used the monoprice tablets and said they were good. Just no one had really tried out the cintiq one.
I've been thinking about cartooning my skit of sleepy Solas and sneaky Inquisitor...

You can give Morrigan the Spirit Healer spec. That's what I always do. I love Wynne, but Morrigan being horrible always makes me laugh. I think since they're going to restrict our potion use it would be extreme if they don't at least let every mage have some form of healing spell.
Yeah, I always do too (because I love her and she has to be in my party at all times). Wynne is just really handy with the Creation tree on top of Spirit Healer, and I hate spending Morrigan's points on things that aren't violently destructive. But you're right, it's way more flexible than the healer setup in DA2.
