Interested in learning more about him. And where he got that bad fashion sense (although, not really complaining about those skin-tight pants).....maybe it's a direct snub to the oppulance of the Orlesians....if so, I like him.

Fire safety? Vivienne and Dorian have relatively close fitting clothing as well and the last thing you want to do is light yourself on fire with your own fireballs.

As for voice acting, Solas' expressions in the War Room concept art and screenshots make me picture him as being the Kif to the Inquisitor's Zap Brannigan:

why does the fact that it's s/s art need pointing out? if it was FQuisitor featured you wouldn't say "it's kinda straight but that's not the point, look at the hair!". you lost me.

 

Oh, no, I dig the s/s part. Matter in fact, I prefer to make my male Hawke hook up with Fenris. And I will definitly try the same with MQuisitoner and Solas and/or Mustacheguy.

by rgw way...doesn't have a..."strange" look the fade? It feels...less irreal, in a sence. seem more "phisical" than in DAO/2. less game of the light, or simply less "dreamlike" effect.

As long as every point remains equidistant from the Black City (as per DAO) and the lighting isn't so intrusive and silly looking (pink haze over everything...) then this is a big improvement in my opinion.

Maybe the Inquisitor's glow hand subtly reshapes the Fade to make it hospitable for people from our side? Maybe Solas' Fade knowledge involves him making an amused facial expression and then saying something that sounds profound?

I know myself well enough to not comment on his bald head detracting from anything. Before playing DA:2, I never thought I'd like Fenris but then he waltzed in with his story line and sexy voice and it was over for me. I think we're going to be very surprised by this guy; hair or not.

Oh he's just stocking up on all dem embarrasing secrets, you never know when you might need them... Halfway throught the game he must have a library of recordings and documents just storing all of those to bribe people to get his way, and probably half of those are from the Inquisitor, because when I read some of you guys' posts then whoo.. they're going to be a bunch of perverted ladies and gents  (not that I mind of course.. or don't do it myself  )

OH my GLOB! You all and your 'Solas' Adventures through the Fade' are most amusing.

But how about that Fade huh? I dig it. I know it could have a 'skies the limit' design, but I believe some tend to forget it used to be an actual functioning space: The Golden City. Some of the parts look like abandoned cliff dwellings, there's even some floating hunks of rock that look like they have illuminated windows. I suppose it is missing the usual 'thick pea soup haze', as I called it. Egh, I didn't really care for that in the first place. (That or it's just leaking out into the world due to the Fade rips) All in all, I think it's good. I am curious to see what happens when party members end up there, like in previous DA games. What secrets will we find out?

It also seems a lot easier to traverse without going insane, a plus for Ser Fade Expert. Though, I'd be greatly humored if he just learned everything from a books/ scrolls/ ancient texts. (/nod to Game of Thrones)

THIS, I totally see him coming up with a plan and working it out in the finest details and then mumbling "it should work anyway, in theory.." Ah, nerdy know-it-all Solas is the best Solas.. (well along with sassy snickering Solas ofcourse )

To be perfectly honest, the only thing I personally have against him so far as an LI is the lack of hair. Yeah, I guess I'm shallow

So a while ago we talked about Felassan and Solas possibly being linked by their violet eyes, but there's a line in the Calling:

 

"Most elves Duncan had known always possessed such eerie eyes--light greens and purples, impossible hues that somehow made them seem alien."

 

So I get the feeling Solas' eyes might just be "normal" violet and not necessarily an indication of ancient elf-ism... which is encouraging because I'm really attached to the more mundane Fade nerd Solas idea.
