Apart from enjoying the graphics again and deciding that my femQunquisitor will not have chin tats, didn't really get much outta that.

Someone speculated upthread that bioware might be holding out on info about him because of his importance to the main plot...this theory, I like it
Oooh me too, wouldn't be surprised either if he was the person who you couldn't get rid of in the end. Now Solas get your head out of those books and show yourself to us, don't be shy, it'll be all right! We won't bite! (somehow I'm imagining this as me coaxing him to go to his first day of school

They are withholding information on Solas because the game cannot be finished without adequate supplies of fan tears. It is the secret ingredient that makes Bioware great. When adequate levels of fan tears have been reached we will have information (probably 2 weeks after release date).
Do happy tears also count? because I've got plenty of those

solas is simply so amazing and plot-important (fade expert) that they cannot reveal anymore about him than they already because it would constitute major spoilers

Huh. Maybe Allan was onto something when he suggested that Solas was introverted. Maybe he's a shy one and it's taking the marketing team a lot of time and effort to try and wrangle him up for a photo shoot and bio write-up. I imagine it could be quite tricky trying to pin down a mage who does not wish to be caught.
Meanwhile, I just can't. These past two days... all this footage... all this game info... I can't take the hype. My body was not ready. LOL

I just tweeted Mike Laidlaw asking if we'll get info on him soon. Start praying to the Maker that he says something.
Just want to point out that you know who they revealed last (ish - at least to my memory) from DA2 as far as companions went? Fenris. That's right, one of my favorite characters went by MEG (Mysterious Elf Guy) for the longest time and he was one of the last to be revealed.
So at least we have a name and maybe the delay because they are still refining his character model. I am happy to be able to refer to Dorian by his name now and so far the rogues and the mages have my interest which will be interesting from a gameplay stand point as I usually play a rogue myself. I am just really curious about Solas because for the very little that we know, so much seems contradictory. I mean sweetness and hot peppers combined with his unassuming wardrobe compared to the more flamboyant of the party combined with his smirk and confidence and possible introverted awkwardness. Seriously, those are all the clues we have been given besides knowing that he is a fade expert.

I think we're starting to come off as 'whiny and desperate' due to all these posts. Ladies and gents, lets put our big people pants back on and focus on the thigh prize with what we're good at: fiction, art, and speculation.
Though I am very humored by the thought of having trouble wrangling up Solas for write-ups and photo shoots. Probably is the hide-and-go-seek master or something.
I also wonder where Solas is in the lovely EA panel screen-shots. Guess I'll have to look through old location posts to see where there's a lot of stone buildings and snow.

Me too. I'm more curious as to why. I was quite ecstatic about the information yesterday.
Seriously, though, it would be kinda cool if he's introverted. And you gotta try to earn his confidence to bring him out of his shell a little. Like a socially awkward professor/scientist type, which I suppose is possible with the whole Fade expert thing. That could also fit the scotch bonnet thing as well... try to get too close to the inside and you'll get burned in the process.
If he's adorkable in any way, I'll melt. I have a weakness for adorkable characters.
