So does anyone know the time that Gamespot's next Inquisition bit is going to be on?  I've got it running but there's an indie game on right now.  Would like to know if there will be Solas info.  Because I could use some of that violet-eyed elf right about now.

ok, let's return speaking of Solas...in one of the new trailer, we see (not very crearly, but it's easy to see who are those figure in movement) Solas and Varric pass behind Vivienne (when she had light/scary eyes)

I agree I think Varric can be friends with just about anybody...so Varric and Solas talking I can just hear it now a banter between them talking about Varrics adventure in the fade in DA2!

I can totally see this happening and it would be adorable.  I loved the way Varric really brought Fenris out of himself in DA2 and their sweet-snarky bantering (plus the idea of them chilling together in the Hanged Man), and I can see Varric having a similar relationship with Solas if our elf really is a bit on the awkward/introverted side.

Hmm, I would have thought that Varric and hedonistic Iron Bull would get along (Varric seems to be a bit of a hedonist himself, or at least he likes his comfort).  I thought Varric would get along with just about anyone, but he doesn't.  So while I would love to say that he and Solas would be good friends, I have my doubts.

 

If Allan were being truthful about Solas being an introvert, and not just playing with us, I'm not sure what that will mean.  We already suspect he's an apostate, so I don't think he and Vivienne will get along.  He might be able to get along with Dorian (perhaps if both are available for romance, and Solas is bi, and you don't romance either of them, they will get together?)... but somehow I doubt he'd be able to get along quite so well with Iron Bull.  ... Of course this is from a stance of knowing next to nothing about his personality.  I guess if I knew more I could make better guesses!

The Inquisitor enters the castle hall, brows furrowed, a slight look of frustration. She glances towards the downstairs study and hesitates. After all, she had already checked there twice.

 

Varric enters and catches the Inquisitor rubbing her hands nervously.

 

Varric: Something wrong Twinkles?

 

Inquisitor: No...yes, it is just I seem to have lost some...thing. And didn't I tell you to knock it off with the Twinkles business.

 

Varric: Hey, I can't help it if you light up the sky like a star. Albeit a hazy green one, that is totally saving our skins. It's a compliment.  I mean anyone that can stop the demons from raining down on us is golden in my book. So what have you lost this time? I remember the last time. Cause I am not mucking down in the swamp like last time just to find your favorite boots. Which is a story you still owe me for helping you.

 

Inquisitor blushes and then coughs: Uh yeah, no, I'm actually looking for Solas. I swear he is almost as good at disappearing as Cole is.

 

Varric chuckles: Heh. Maybe they've gone off somewhere. I know Solas was interested in Cole's ability and attempt to adapt to human form. To be honest, I didn't really understand it.

 

Inquisitor: Yeah maybe. I know he lost me somewhere at 'the creative adaptive elements of his nature to identify human emotions and choices suggest an evolutionary process hereto unknown in any parts of the fade.' After that... I think I got distracted.

 

The Inquisitor shrugged with a slight grin.  Her face grew thoughtful: Hmm, but I know he is not with Cole right now.

 

Varric with a slight raise of his eyebrow: You sound certain.

 

Inquisitor: Yep. Cole! Stop fidgeting dear boy and tell me if you have seen Solas.

 

Cole's voice from behind a pillar, the sound of feet scuffling together: Sorry Inquisitor. I can look if you want though. Would it be helpful? I like to be helpful.

 

Inquisitor answering kindly: Yes, Cole, if you have time. Thank you.

 

Cole answering brightly: Okay. I'll find him.

 

Varric, as the sound of a door opening and closing echoes: How do you do that? I swear I jump every time he appears but you just stand there calm and collected.

 

Inquisitor shakes her head: The nose knows, Varric. I don't even want to speculate when his last bath was, but we are working on it. Poor boy. I mean, spirit. Well, that still doesn't help me find Solas, I guess I will go see if Dorian has any quests for me, but I was really hoping....

 

Varric, watches as the Inquisitor wanders off with a huge grin on his face: Yeah, I know what you were hoping for and I think it is time for me to coach a certain elf on the ways of romance. After all, 'Parting the Veil' isn't going to write itself.

gh, with my "luck" with ladies in DA (I end up ninjamanced by Leliana every time I play DAO with a female character. sad thing, I like the girl, but as a friend...is refresing speak of silly thing with her, but end up always with her understanding...more. I always feel bad to let her down...) I've just imagined my Inquistor being flirted by Sera, with a bald, judimental (but not stripper) jelous Solas behind her. 

 

ok. ok. I'll return serious. (more or less)

 

Have you notice in the lady Qunary gameplay that sera seems to end up at least unconscious? do you think we will see some dramatic scene where our companions are hurt? I remember one of the things that make me move towards Garrus was how I was shocked when he was hurt. (and of course his humor once he feel better)

Not really anything new other than talking about trying to add mod support. Maybe. Possibly. That was NOT a promise, so please nobody hold them to that based on me saying it. LOL

 

Otherwise, no new footage or any real new info. Mostly just stuff we already know.

 

Also, the Canadian pronunciation of "about" is really very adorable.

ahahahahahaha!!! yeah, I didn't think about it!!! But totally fitting!!!

I was just thinking about how I have to switch characters every time on my PS3 to make drink the damn potions, since the cooldown of the regenerative spells is so slow that make me want to cry XD

I wonder if Varric will be as easygoing and cheerful in DAI as he was in DA2. Things are a bit more tense these days.

 

In some ways it would be strange to hear him give nicknames to everyone and be the best brofriend. But on the other hand, I can just imagine the banters that could come up based on what we know of some characters.
