I really don't see how people think Solas looks like Nicolas Cage. He's way better looking than Nicolas Cage.

Mr Cage doesn't have that level of cheekbones The more high-res images I see of him, the more intrigued I get. I feel like a small child in a sweet shop with all these exciting companions

I have to admit that the first time I saw him he looked exactly like Nick Cage...Now the more I see him the less I believe so, if that makes any sense.

not that I'm unhappy, I'm quite happy to have seen them, but I would have liked to see a little more about Solas...(at least more than him climbing a ladder. still good to see, by the way. I like this improvement in the actions)

OKay okay okay, I keep hearing the climbing the ladder thing, but I'm so confused. Where are you getting this 'climbing a ladder' thing? If you're talking about the person in the trailer who is climbing a very tall ladder to a wooden structure in winter-y weather, I'm pretty positive that's the Inquisitor. (The sequence that plays right after Solas, Varric, Cassandra, and the Inquisitor trudge through the snow)

Has anyone modified their ideas about who they'll be putting in their regular party given the new info? Because I'm now completely confused about what I want to do. I hadn't counted on liking Sera so much, but after listening to her banter with IB, I really want her in my party. Cass and Sera might be a funny combo...I imagine Sera will poke at her. 

I may possibly have Iron Bull in my party more, mostly because I intended to bring Sera and Solas from the beginning and I think the banter would be funnier than bringing Cassandra along. (Unless Sera says things that leaves Cassandra shocked, then Cassandra is back in.) Seems we're on the same wavelength Dracarys. 

I'm actually debating bringing Cole along to see how members would interact with him. But from my experience I usually have to have a two warrior, one rogue, one mage team. Only if the rogue is a long distance rogue (archer), can I swap out a warrior. (And I like playing rogues)

As for voices and the possibility he's Mark Meer, I don't know. I certainly don't think he'd be using Shepards voice he was voicing Solas. I can see it possibly being Jethann if Solas ends up a sassy character. Otherwise, I think he's taking on another role.

I don't think its been confirmed that all our companions will have specializations the Inquisitor will have yet

Well, the mage specializations, according to the website, are: Knight Enchanter, Necromancer, and Rift Mage
One could only assume Vivienne is the Knight Enchanter due to the description. Then there's the whole ordeal with Dorian and the assumed necromancy bout that makes us question if he might be the necromancer. (Not to mention Tevinter is one of those places where blood magic and necromancy goes) And I suppose, since Solas is the 'Fade Expert', he must also be the Rift mage? Considering when the fade is spilling into the real world it's called a breach in the rift.

But nothing is set in stone and this is still just a bunch of speculation.

I originally thought that was Solas too when I first watched the trailer, but yeah, I'd say it's definitely the Inquisitor.

I'm pretty sure it's from one of the E3 trailers, possibly the dudequisitor one.  Not too sure though.

 

EDIT: nope, it's not.  Hmmm, I can't remember where I saw it, must have been one of the gameplay vids.

On a sad note and off-topic I just found out Rik Mayall from the movie "Drop Dead Fred" the actor that played him was found dead....*sigh* GOD rest his soul!

I want a video of Solas and Dorian speaking that doesn't have a dev shouting over them.

 

I remember when all the early glimpses of Zevran were small and blurry or of his backside. We didn't know his name or anything and we used to joke that in game he'd always be facing away from you (like in the dream sequence of Elijah Wood in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind").
