I'm not sure if I like him with hair or not.
He's cute with hair (well with some hairstyle^^)
But I'm not sure it'd go well with his character.
Solas is like Yoda.Well a prettier yoda.Or a monk.
He was probably living alone on top of a mountain , going to the fade to have "visions" and then he felt something wrong with the force and joined the Inquisition.
Well that's how I picture him anyway.

I'm now too much used to shaved/bald Solas to having him with hair! It just...doesn't fit anymore.

Yes please! However, this is also why I could see my Inquisitor accidentally ending the game alone. "Maybe if I just keep clicking on all Solas' dialogue options the romance will finally develop." *Cue epilogue, roll credits* "Well ****."
I'm quite sure that there will be flirting options. I'm hoping that there will be that heart icon so that I know when I'm actually going to flirt. I wonder how he will react to flirting. Maybe surprised at first because he might not think that you might be intertested in him in that way. When you go to talk to him later he might tell you that he is flattered but needs time to know you better and he wants to take it slowly.
I'm just waiting for him to defy all expectations. People seem to think that he's going to be the more put-together professor type with a sarcastic streak. What if he actually started bouncing off the walls with no composure at all when we meet him in game?
We really do know so little about him!
Maybe he is like Mordin from ME. In that case I don't know how I can survive meeting him without dying from laughter.

not really. just asked about why so many male elves are bald. the answer was "stay tuned". 
Nothing new, just speculation. I was the one who started the thing about cultural significance, possible sign of mourning incidentally.
Had another thought. Have all the bald elves thus far been male and mages? Can't remember clearly. Zathrian was, that elf who killed his wife was, Orsino was. May be the static from the magic makes their hair fall out. Or they want to avoid it catching light when they start throwing fire balls. Unless the designer just want to show off the ears. Hair does tend to cover them up quite effectively.
I perfectly okay with him being bald but I'm getting increasingly keen on it having some sort of significance. One thing it does seem to show up - he doesn't have any tattoos, so either not Dalish or doesn't consider it necessary to have tattoos to be a grown up elf.
Had another thought, may be that's it. The ears. The Divine at the time of the fall of the Dales had the pictures of Shartan altered so he didn't have elf ears. The Dalish are always going on about ears. Flat ears is a term of derision about city elves. Humans also use knife ear and worse as a term of derision about elves.
So you shave your hair and show your ears loud and proud because you are not ashamed of being an elf.

Honestly he seem order to me, not quite as old as Blackwall but I'm thinking 40

Ugh... Don't even get me started on DA2's gremlin people elves. I thought Orsino was actually one of the better designs. Have to admit, Solas does look rather hot with hair - I definitely see mods in his future. I'll stick with the bald look myself though - I think it's cool
I have to say, I really love all the character designs we've seen so far. I play on PC and one of the first mods I downloaded for the other Dragon Age games were ones that improved the characters' faces, particularly that of our companions. They really did an amazing job this time though - I love everyone we've seen so far! Their personalities as well. Hoping we get some info on the others soon.
Because as fun as all this creative speculation is, being able to talk about factual stuff would be nice
Solas bald has grown on me, but I still do prefer his earlier concept design
