Hm, I was just reading about Cassandra and an interview on her, I came to the conclusion that she'd probably be my elfquizzy's best friend but then I wondered.. who do you think Solas' best friend would be? We've speculated on who he would get along with, but do you think he'll have a best bro or gal? Or is he a loner, or so awkward/weird that he can't make any friends?

 

I thought about this for awhile last night (I find all sorts of things to think about when I'm supposed to be doing actual work), and in the end I decided that we just don't know enough about his personality...I mean, "scotch bonnet candies" is nothing more than a scrap. If he's representing the free mage viewpoint, it'll put him at immediate odds with Cassandra and Vivienne, but that doesn't necessarily mean we'll have an Anders/Fenris situation (and I really hope not, because it got so tiresome when they were both in the party). Somehow, I doubt he'll get along with Vivienne. Like, at all. Beyond that, I could see him having an affinity for Cole given the "Fade expert" thing. And I hope he's at least amused by Sera, since they're both going in my party. Best friend, though? Mmm, I feel like my elfquisitor might insist on that spot. Vehemently.

Solas seems to be the most popular amongst the main companion threads so I'm surprised there isn't more fanart for him.

 

I'm really hoping he's a Dreamer, I think it'd fit him well (◕‿◕✿)

I honestly hadn't heard people were being negative about Morrigan, but I have seen the Cassandra hate - mainly amongst the facebook posters - along with Solas (mind you, I feel some people are warming up to both). But I just don't get it, Cass is beautiful, scars and all .

This image makes me think that maybe Solas is cranky most of the time or maybe he is cranky in the morning. It's quite hard to guess his personality.

When the first DA:I trailer came out people were whining about Morrigan's appearance, especially her jaw. Touching, really.

For me it's seriously hard to understand the hate on the companions' appearance, they are all so hot it's almost ridiculous (not that I complain, mind you).

We've heard several characters, NPC and companion, using Elvish words but we haven't to my knowledge heard a full sentence/dialogue in Elvish as it's considered a "lost" language.  I suddenly have a strong need for Solas to be able to speak Elven fluently.

Handsome is as handsome does.  I tend to fall in love with the character as much as the looks.   Having a sexy voice helps though.   Anyone remember Coran from Baldurs Gate?   They gave him a really lousy picture but that voice - it was like honey - and you could see why the ladies would fall for him.   It is also why having a good voice for the PC has always been important for me.    I want to sound as good as I look.     May be that is what they mean by Scotch bonnet candies.  It's the sound of his voice.   Warm and sweet at the same time.    Huggable and delicious.   Makes you melt inside at the sound.  You get the idea!

Voice is important,  I think Keythe Farley's voice was perfect for Thane in ME for example.  I'd be very happy if Solas had a voice like that (without the alien effects  ).  A deep voice would be good.

Yes please! About Benedict Cumberbatch, not your underwear  I want him to have a voice where I don't mind if he gives me an hour long lecture about his calculations and findings about the Fade, as long as I can melt away during that time "listening" to it.

I'm hoping he's a dreamer as well! I thought about it as I re-played DA2 today, in the Feynriel quest I started thinking about Solas
