If I remember right the Dalish accents were very inconsistent, both Irish and Welsh, but I think they were mostly Irish... in fact, the only welsh one I can think of is Merrill.

I've been wrecking my brain trying to come up with something to contribute to this thread! I made some horrible photoshops, found out I sucked at photoshop and then scrapped them.

 

I just remembered that it was said that Solas "may or may not be" like Han Solo somewhere in this thread? If he's a LI I would love to see a "I love you"/"I know" situation come up and if not I think there needs to be dramatic fighting scenes where Solas saves the day.

I'm dating myself here, but...ever since those hilarious old SNL Jeopardy skits, I have a really hard time hearing Sean Connery without imagining him saying this:

 

 

Have I mentioned that my mind is basically a pop culture wasteland? Anyway, I'm all for a Scottish Solas.   Maybe the "Scotch" part of Scotch Bonnet is meant to be taken literally as well? Hmm...it's an unusual pepper to pick.

 

Also agree with the "Cassandra is gorgeous" crowd.  She's got supermodel bone structure. Kind of reminds me of Mila Jovovich for some reason. She definitely looks like a warrior, though, and I know that's not to everyone's taste. I loved the most recent interview about her...hopefully she and my elfquisitor will get along, though she probably won't approve of some of my Inquisitor's hobbies. Like stealing.  Sera is looking more likely as a bestie at the moment.

Manly? I think she is Beautiful even though she's a serious person who is tough!

I could tell Sera's voice sounds British? I could be wrong it's kinda hard to tell with them talking over it ...who knows Solas's voice could be welsh ,British but it also could be American like Zathrians voice was! I just hope we don't have to wait too long to get to hear him.

I think people just have difficulty understanding that they are trying to make them look like real people, and not like the eternal teenagers that are featured in most video games. Real people have moles, scars, wrinkles, and bad haircuts. Real people sometimes wear too much make up, or are bald. I love Solas' bald head, Cass' rather Mediterranean jawline, and Morrigan's mole. Their imperfections are what make them hotter to me. This is the first time I've found the majority of companions attractive. Cole looks too teenager-ish for me to find him attractive (which was likely intentional). And while I'll concede that Cullen is attractive, the last picture I saw of him made him look like my father so I refuse to go there.

 

I feel like I've said this before, but we've come full circle about twelve times in this thread so I don't know what I'm talking about anymore.

Just based off of her banter with Iron Bull, I'm kind of getting the impression that she's the elven equivalent of Jack. Or depending on how much chaos the Friends of Red Jenny like to unleash she could be the team's version of the Demoman:

Just based off of her banter with Iron Bull, I'm kind of getting the impression that she's the elven equivalent of Jack. Or depending on how much chaos the Friends of Red Jenny like to unleash she could be the team's version of the Demoman:

That video gave me a good laugh,if she's anything like Demoman....well maybe it would be best to take her on not so important quests that way I won't be laughing my butt off and getting killed at the same time!   

 

 

 

@Trohonius  I found Merril's voice soothing also, there have been a couple of times where I thought I was going to fall asleep when she talked.

Hmm...that's actually a good theory! Sebastian had a Scottish accent too, I think, so there's a precedent for the accent existing in Thedas. The Scotch Bonnet Candy hint may indeed hold more meaning than we thought. After all, they could have just said 'candied peppers', so there might be a reason they mentioned Scotch Bonnet particularly. Those devs can be pretty sneaky...

Interesting idea about the Scotch Bonnet double meaning...  I do like David Tenant but as a Scottish person, living in Glasgow, that accent is everywhere!! I favor something a bit more exotic
