Considering how often Merrill would comment that she had stepped in something in a grossed out voice and at least once stated that shoes seemed like a good idea (though she never acts on it) I don't think wearing shoes is being anti elf.

But as s someone above said, who wants to trudge through blood and such barefoot?

 

Though I grew up as a barefoot mongrel in the desert, walking across a movie theater floor with bare feet is pretty much my nightmare so I don't imagine I'd last long mucking through blood and guts like that

 

I wonder what Solas' next picture will look like.  Will he be expressionless again or looking like Snarky McSnarkerson?

I wonder if we would ever have a chance of giving Solas a taste of his own medicine by wearing an extremely tight catsuit or something of the like.. That would teach him not to mess with our feeble hearts by wearing such tight pants all the time, see how you like that Solas!

same, grew up traversing the local forests often barefoot. Not to mention back yards and such. But ask me to walk I the corner store and I'll insist on foot wear

I remember running around in the yard a lot barefooted when I was younger,there were times where I would step on a sticker or a pine cone...not a very pleasant moment. lol

 

I'm fine with elves walking around barefooted,doesn't bother me.I've seen screenshots of Solas wearing boots,shoes with his toes sticking out,and without shoes so I guess either way won't bother him. But if I hear Solas complain about a lack of footwear I'll just slap some boots on him.

I think we'll see more about Blackwall, Leliana and Dorian before Solas.

Since they where at the E3 the most. Maybe some info about Solas will came with a trailer about the companios who weren't at E3. (like Cole, Cullen and Scribble)

Solas as the next companion reveal would be much appreciated. However, I thought there was something about the Greg Ellis (Cullens VA) being filmed for something recently? (I thought this was brought up during the week of E3, but got lost in the swarm of information) I'm assuming it was for one of those voice actor videos, like what Iron Bull just had. It is possible he could be next buuuuttttttt... ... ...

BUUUUTTTT I still don't know who did that diagram picture. Was it fan made or something? Did a writer make it? A dev? I have no idea.

At one time I was mocked for my love of Elrond. I have clearly found my people.

 

They can feel free to show us something about Solas tomorrow. I wouldn't mind. Failing that, a name for "Scribbles" would be good...

Possibly, as I, too, was a barefoot child.

 

And I still am as an adult now, just... I confine the barefootedness to inside the house only these days. But I have clear memories of running barefoot down the hot Florida asphalt as a youngster chasing the ice cream truck. Madness. 

 

I always attributed that to me being 1/8 Cherokee Native American, though. *shugs*

Elrond is great, though technically not full elf, but half elf who has chosen the life of his elf rather than his human side.   His brother did the opposite and founded the Numenorean line, so Aragon is very distantly related.     You have to admit, though, that Legolas gets all the best action moves in the movie, such as when they are fighting the cave troll, when he vaults up in front of Gimli as the worg riders approach and not forgetting the bringing down the Oliphant.   Plus the drinking contest with Gimli in the Extended Cut.  

 

My love of elves stems from reading LOTR when I should have been studying for my O levels.   Really annoyed with the character assassination they did to the elf king in the Hobbit movies.   My family name may even mean elf warrior in old English (Saxon).     I really want my Inquisitor to be at the head of an elf revival but I'll settle for Solas being awesome.

 I forgot about him being half elf but it really doesn't matter to me if he's half elf he looked like an elf he acted like an elf,he was an elf and he was HOT!

Not meaning to sound awkward, but I suppose it would be a matter of scale? The Qunari do have a selective breeding program, so members of the Antaam like Sten, the Arishok, and Iron Bull are going to be physically bigger and burlier than members of other branches of their society. Baseline Qunari are taller and more muscular than humans, but Vashoth born outside of the selective breeding program might not have inherited the same traits that the Antaam have and may be physically smaller.

I like to think of Solas as a little coal miner in his little long johns. He can be so cute at times.
