I have been backpacking in Indonesia for the last two weeks with no internet. Finally hime. I searched for E3 info, and found a lot. But nothing on Solas? Is there any news there?

Only if you count seeing him briefly in group shots in the new trailers. Nothing on his personality or voice actor yet sadly.

you know, what if Solas being hush hush is due to him being a character that originally they wanted to do more with but couldn't, then with the year delay it opened him up to being fully realised and so that is what they are up to?

Why do I have this really bad feeling that they're going to save Solas for the last, because he's so darn important to the plot? I'll be consulting the "little birds" fervently until I'm sure that my gut is lying to me. You know, a new picture or anything would be nice too, that'll keep us busy for a while again, stop being so introverted Solas and come out! This isn't funny anymore!

But actually I'm happy we at least have someone new! Well, in a manner of speaking. This is basically telling us nothing we didn't already know about Cole but at least we can see what he looks like in-game.

Well dang it, I hate you Bioware.. (not really but for a while, until I get over my initial sadness) And wow, Cole looks pretty creepy, really fits him though, he looks a lot better than what I thought he looked like at the table shot with everyone.

*sob* at least Dorian fans have seen him in action and heard his voice and know his basic background info. Solas is officially the biggest mystery companion if we're not counting advisers.

And ha ha ha... I thought about bringing up the Judas thing again. (Yeah yeah, old news old jokes old stuff) But then it got me thinking more in depth. Not too long ago there was a question of would you choose order or chaos? Then there was the prospect of possibly joining the 'big bad' of this game somewhere I thought. Soooooooo... maybe he betrays you in that if you do not choose the side he supports he tries to screw you over? Maybe that's why we have so many companions this time around, because the side you pick later will determine who decides to stick around. (Kind of like Sebastian leaving your party if you do not choose to kill Anders, except in a grander less end-of-game scale) Maybe other characters have the potential of trying to sell you out, or even attacking you based on the choices you make. Iunno, something to ponder.

Laidlaw said something about how the companions weren't always very good at having the Inquisitor's back, so I've also wondered if this is something that can happen. I think it would be...interesting. On the one hand, it's absolutely realistic. On the other, I could see backlash from people who feel that their rp-ing is being ruined because they can't make the choices they want without losing preferred companions (like those that wanted to kill Anders but depended on him as a healer).

 

Also, Cole being revealed makes me hopeful that we'll get Dorian and Solas this week (preferably Solas first, because goddamn it's been a long time coming).

Solas was in love with the Fade,he eventually used Blood Magic to form the Fade into a physical..."thing"...,and then he did the deed!
Then 9 months later the "baby" arrives,the "Breach" opens wide and here comes the Inquisitor!.

Solas is surely the most teased!  really, one of the first companion we see, and one of the last to be presented!

By the way, Cole creep me as much as he "awww" me. He remind me of a Tim Burton's kind of character. expecially Edward Shissorhands. (and is not a bad thing)

Although the cole info was refreshing, the lack of Solas has me not only worried, but I no longer check the sites often. I've almost given up on info on characters I really wanna know. It's been months. Varric, Really? We know varric. Cullen is an Npc. Iron bull, although I'm excited bout him, not interested romantically.
Lol. Fingers crossed for next week! If its Cassandra or Lelianna, someone's getting neck punched.
