Wow! Congrats on 300 pages! For a character we have zero information (
<- death glare) on he's quite the popular one isn't he? I imagine this thread is going to blow up when they finally do reveal something (I think the Cole thread went from like 60 pages to a hundred in the last 24 hours.) Fingers crossed we get Solas and Dorian reveals soon!

I'm imagining the devs just chasing Solas down a busy street, all dressed in fedoras and trench coats, armed with old cameras, and yelling after him with cheesy Boston accents.
"Mistah Solas! Jus' give us one photo an' we'll leave ya alone until September!"
And then Solas just disappears, disappointing his pursuers and fans. ;w;

I noticed Sheryl Chee had just one character. Doesn't she usually do more than that? She may have written Solas.
Also, I suspect whomever Gaider's final character is, is the m/m romance as speculated by some others. But with race gating being a thing, we might get an extra LI or two... Still, I am not holding my breath for Solas. I think the last one will be Dorian--he's certainly attractive enough--and Solas will bromance us. Or we'll be surprised to learn that he's one of two extra LIs (and if there are extras they will likely be bisexual to spread the LI distribution out a bit more due to race-gating closing some options off). Basically his only chance at being an LI is that there are "extras," or that Iron Bull isn't a fully fledged romance. I'm not counting on either possibility.
Much as I was hoping for Solas to be an LI, I've already braced myself for the possibility (probability?) he isn't. Hence why I stopped posting fan art, so I would be able to stop thinking of him as a romance for my Inquisitor. I know that's part of his popularity, but I can't be the only one who thinks I can like him even without romancing him? I mean I am thrilled Cole is going to be in the Inquisition and I wasn't even remotely planning to romance Cole...

Well my last post where I talked about Cole, I may have sounded like I hate him but I don't and I don't think he's ugly either I just said he was creepy looking cause he looks like a teenager that is a walking corpse and that is frightening I understand some of you that your motherly instincts or motherly ways switch on once you read about Coles past( I feel that myself now that I've read a little more about him) and it is sad with what happened to him and how he died from starvation. This "spirit" that took his form I'm glad he wants to do good but like I said I don't know much about him yet but he does sound interesting and I will recruit Cole and see for myself what he is like.
I hope I didn't upset any Cole fans earlier.

Whether Solas is romanceable or not doesn't have any bearing on whether I will like the character and there are no characters at the war table I'm not interested in finding out more about. I am a bit concerned that Varric and Iron Bull might be two out of only three male romances available to female PCs. In my opinion romance with Iron Bull (if available) should be race gated to Qunari, and likewise Varric should be gated to Dwarves (probably only females) these restrictions make sense to me from what we know from Sten, and Varric.
It is my hope that there will be another option available to straight female PCs and the only options would seem to be Solas or Dorian and I'd be happy with either, but Solas seems most likely as Dorian is surely S/S.
So, basically, my concern is a lack of choice that are plausible to my outlook on the DA world, not any concern about the actual characters.

My point is there's really no need to make yourself miserable by agonizing over it... if it turns out to be that you can't have the character as an LI, well... it's a character in a video game. What does that affect in the long run? And you can write fanfic if you're really that torn up about it.

And yeah, if Solas is Bi, I'd be down for that. It's unlikely that he'll be the s/s though because Sera (yes, another elf) is a s/s. But hey, Bioware could just be like yolo and roll with it, probs not though
