Well to be fair, I was kind of wondering the same thing. I'm not sure why people were so certain anyone would be revealed today. I was thinking more along the lines of next week.

I was surprised too, I didn't think that after cole had been revealed recently, that anything would be revealed, now that I know that, i can resume working on my math assignmentsXD

I, too, am from the south. Although some argue that Florida isn't really "southern", but that is because it has different parts/areas. We definitely have our "south" parts.

It seems like that, I have family that live in Okaloosa cnty and my Husband is from Pasco cnty they are definitely southern,I've been to Miami and it feels much different there it's like the L.A of the south!  lol

I was thinking also that there was a good chance it wouldn't be today. It seems like they have been putting stuff out pretty close together, so hopefully it wont be too long. HOPEFULLY!

It's not so much the pace of reveals that's making me a little crazy as it is the complete lack of pattern (not exactly the Queen of Spontaneity, here, I admit). I would have been perfectly happy with the Follower Fridays, mostly because I like having things to look forward to and knowing roughly when I should be looking for those things. The reveals have been all over the place, though, and while I like the new layout (picture with quote, then interview), I really wish there was a schedule for them. I mean, one we forumites would actually get to, like, know about. Weekly is fine. Weekly is great. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF WEEKLY IS A THING OR NOT.

 

Oh well. Back to doing the work I've been finding ways to avoid buckling down on all afternoon.

But I do feel a need to express my... frustration... with how the marketing has been done. Being in both advertising and marketing as a profession (not the same, but a bit inter-related where I work... I'm a duel-wielder, I suppose you could say, haha), I just cannot comprehend their timeline or pattern to this. Usually patterns are good. Patterns are encouraged. You get people expecting certain things at certain times.

 

But this is just really... all over the place. There's a pattern, and then that pattern is broken and a new one forms, and then that one is broken and so on and so forth. Instead of anticipating something, I am merely left confused and twisting in the wind a little.

 

Oh, well. We'll have an actual answer by no later than October 7th.

Ugh, I really don't want to be that person, but I'm getting so sick of the lack of Solas info.  And the sporadic nature of the marketing makes it really difficult to get excited about stuff, because you get hyped about something and then nothing happens.  I know people argue we should expect nothing, but...fuuuu, I want some sugar dammit 

 

I was out all day today thinking there'd be something new to come home to (hopefully Solas, maybe Dorian, probably Vivienne  ) and now...who knows when we'll get the next info release

When the keep is released? I was just thinking that maybe they will release the characters before the keep is released so that the characters get attention which they deserve before everyone's attention is directed to keep.

Yea it doesn't seem like the marketing team is going in any specific pattern. Hope we get more info though even if it's just a screenshot though with our luck they'll just release a screenshot and photoshop Vivi's head on his          

 

@Gervaise I think the reactions will be mutual. Cole has a history with mages so he will probably be nice to him as he stare at that shiny  smooth baldness   . Solas, I think will be very interested in getting to know Cole whether he is a demon or spirit or somewhere in between and that he will at least have someone who will like his pajamas.

As for the marketing discussion, David Gaider said they're releasing stuff just whenever they get it together. More will come when they have it ready. They're not going by some insane star chart, or anything. They're just trying to get the information together along with everything else to get the game out on time and it's not exactly an even output. We are getting the information way quicker this way than the Follower Friday route, though. I totally understand it's frustrating to have your favorite among the last revealed and have no idea when it's coming, because I'm there, too. I'm sure it wont be too much longer, though.

Pretty much this!Won't lie I'm really curious to see how these two will interact...I think it's pretty much a give away that Solas as someone interested in the fade and it's denizens will probably be fascinated by someone like Cole and I hope so.But as you said his experiences so far might make him extremely wary of him.

Lovely picture!    I notice that Vivienne wants to banish Cole back to the Fade.  Since I don't think she and Solas will get on at all, I think he'd defend Cole's right to stay just to annoy her, regardless of how he really felt.   Since he's meant to be an expert on the Fade, may be he will actually be able to shed some light on what is going on.  He may be wary of Cole as he would be of any spirit, since the last thing I'd see Solas as is stupid and only stupid people don't treat all spirits with respect, but I don't see him as being aggressive or rude to him, just careful.    I hope he is pro-Cole because then they can both be on my A team.

Cole wants to help and he's somehow able to exist in our world without summoning or possession so he isn't a spirit or demon.

Solas might want to help him just because he's a unique case. Powers or not, he's pretty much a kid trying to find his place in the world like everyone else.
