Solas looks like a guy living in the woods.
I think Solas is going to troll the dwarf.
It goes without saying that there should be at least one frolicking in the forest joke made. (Didn't Merrill make those too?) If Solas is the snarky!Solas some of us envision I can see such remarks made.

Merril isn't even generally snarky, normally i'd describe her voice as sincere, but she did totally go on a whole thing about it, "But Not In Front of the Trees!! They get jealous."

There's a scene from E3 where Solas is climbing a snowy moutain like a boss , and Varric well...small legs and snow don't go well together.
I can imagine Varric all bitching and moaning and Solas going all (nicely , he doesn't look like a meanie) trolololol.

I'd like to see what Solas says to that. I always envisioned Solas being like awakening Anders where he is somewhat sarcastic but a little defensive when it comes to how mages should be treated. The concept art with him laughing in the tavern and his clothes really show that he is going to be down to earth and that person that is very funny when you least expect it.

Naw, yeah, she seemed really sincere when she said that. But I can't help but think she was pulling someones leg because she could... ... ... I don't know, maybe it's a Dalish inside joke. And if Solas is in any way associated with them he can continue on about the trees and how jealous they get about the frolicking. That or he could just shoot it down and be like 'that's absurd!'

YEAH NOT A GOOD DAY TO BE A DWARF IN THAT SCENE I TELL YOU WHAT. Probably even worse for dwarf Inquisitor. Bet the Inquisitor sent Solas to the rear of the companion train due to him laughing. And Varric would be all like "baldy, I don't exactly appreciate you laughing at my predicament." Or, on the flip side, he could be trying to herd them cause this is nothing.

Speaking of the concept art, wasn't Solas wearing red in a few of them were you can see him from behind? I wonder if one of his armor variations has a red color scheme instead of brown/green.

i would imagine you could the devs have explained that in armor customization you can dye the armor

I wonder that too, as well as what other outfit variations he has, IF it is him. I managed to see two of what I thought was Solas, considering what the character looks like overall and who he is accompanying. It's like playing 'where is Solas?' all over again. (It also looks as if the pose and/or figure was reused in both pics ha ha ha... /looks at Inquisitor as well)

Spending time on this forum has turned me from someone who waits patiently to someone who is likewise engaging in speculation and pattern-finding. Dammit. Just looked at the characters on the DAI website and it looks like all the serious folks or on the top line and all the snarky ones on the bottom. Now I'm wondering if Solas will be the sarcastic type. Arrgh. I need a break from this place.

I can't imagine he isn't done! His face texture from that head-on screenshot looks better than Dorian's does right now. Though maybe they're tweaking him? I don't imagine anything big is changing in his appearance. The bald is probably staying.

I really want a name for her already. I had a dream the other night where I reloaded the webpage and her name was revealed as "Zanly." Yes, I am embarrassed at the silly, but take no responsibility for my dreaming mind.
It's possible that Solas has some plot relevance that they want to drop later, but I'm sure he probably wont be out too much later. They said before that they axed Follower Friday so they could introduce all the followers in time for release. It seems they planned to release Solas officially. We haven't gotten any implications since then that they're purposely trying to hold anyone back. So, I think he'll probably come soon, also. They will probably do Dorian's interview tomorrow and then I look for Solas sometime next week.
If Dorian's writer isn't David Gaider, though, we know by exclusion that it must be Solas. So, there's that.
