We have to at least wait and rant about things when we KNOW they're in the game! Ranting about speculation is silly! Though I'm sure there are fans already ranting about the character they want not being announced yet or at the very idea that Iron Bull could possibly be a rogue

My intention wasn't to be rude. But emotions are running high, especially on this board, and I don't take kindly to being teased when I'm already angry and tense.

 

I understand how you feel I've been through the same situation in the past but let's just calm down...we should be getting more info on Solas soon I'm sure..I mean look how much we've gotten in the past week.

It's actually much more tolerable than RL.

I am, fundamentally, an angry person. I channel most of this into video games when possible because if I spent too much time thinking about IRL issues in detail, I'd self-destruct from all of the impotent frustration and ensuing rage.

I really hope Solas isn't into blood magic...I understand he is an expert of the fade but...tbh when I played DA2 I liked Merrill I thought she was cute and sweet but I also thought she was a little obsessed with blood magic which I didn't like at all! I've been wondering on this today. If he is well I won't hate him but my inquisition will not approve. (She will still have the hots for him)

It's possible but I'm hoping that we don't have a blood magic using companion this time around. Especially an elf one, considering we have Merrill for that. I think it would be EXTREMELY interesting if Vivienne dabbled in it but she doesn't seem the type.

Ughhh nooo, I must be in the minority but I totally want Solas to be a blood mage. Maybe we can have a blood mage for a companion that doesn't irk me to the point I want to tear out their spine.

And double blood mage party is the awesomesauce

I didn't find Merrill to be obsessed with blood magic. I found her to be obsessed with putting a mirror back together; blood magic was just a tool she was using to do that.

 

That said, nothing we know about Solas beyond his lack of hair suggests he might be a blood mage, or anything about his powers, really. "Expert in the fade" is so vague as to be meaningless without more elaboration; we're just gonna have to wait and see what he can do.

Whenever there's blood magic it suddenly turns into a huge deal and I already got sick of that just with Merrill, even if she just kind of used it as an afterthought. If Solas is a blood mage then I'll still like him but I'll just wait for the rest of my party to talk about it over and over and over again like in DA2 and sigh.

Sure she was using it to fix a mirror but she knew blood magic was bad and should have just backed off away from it...and she just got more and more obsessed with it. *shrug*

Yea, that was the thing. Merrill wasn't obsessed with blood magic; everyone else was obsessed with Merrill's blood magic.

 

As for the bald joke, I figured if I didn't put it in there, someone else would just quote me and make it themselves.
