If Solas' personality turns out to be crappy an annoying, I will be devastated

....now Imagine what happens if they give him HAIR on release....

Even though the picture is cool, he doesn't strike me much as Solas. His expression reminds me too much of another elf, and i don't think they've got similar personalities.

Out of the males we've seen mostly confirmed, Solas is the only one I can see myself "settling" for. I'm not even marginally interested in Iron Bull, grey warden or Varric as love interests. I would be happy with Dorian or Cullen being the last slot. I'd be happy with Cole, if they gave him an adult personality for the game, but that's unlikely. If it's just Iron Bull, grey warden and/or Varric, I will be extremely disappointed.

^ I like him better with this outfit. In the beginning, I thought he was some sort of outcast (an apostate without dalish tattoos) and that he used to live in the woods, but since we now he's a fade expert and that he spend a lot of time there, I wonder the true reasons behind his reclusiveness. Is he running from something (someone or a memory from his past) or is he looking for something (new discoveries about magic and the fade,..)?

I'd be okay with Cullen and Solas being LIs, though. Ss long as they don't include Cole as romance or party member... and maybe throw in an other third guy instead. Cole worked well in his role in the book, but I wouldn want to have him arround me, let alone romance him.

Cole is almost certainly not going to be the LI after what Gaider said, so I wouldn't worry about it much. 

 

If I were going to make an offhand guess, I'd say Solas and Dorian look the most likely based on their usual choices and what's the most marketable on a wider scale. That's with my own opinion included that I believe Cullen is an NPC and not a companion, though. Obviously just my early, largely unsubstantiated guess, since Dorian isn't even confirmed.

I LOVED Cole's character in the book, and though I would be loathe to have him as a companion as he was during the majority of the book, I think I'd really like like to know more about him as he became by the end- a fully realized, or at least a little more self-actualized, version of himself.

 

edit, I just realized that this made it seem as if I want to romance the poor little demon/spirit/kid/thing, so I should clarify that I don't DON'T want to see Cole as a LI, and never did, he's got the mind of scared 9 year old.  THat would just be , but I would like to see him as a comp.

There's the link where he talked about Cole. He said Cole was mentally like a child, so it seems unlikely. It's possible they would change him to a more adult role, since he realized he wasn't Cole, the boy that died, in the end of Asunder. It doesn't really seem like Gaider is totally comfortable with that right now, though? I'd still love to see him as a companion, either way. I'm sure they wouldn't totally erase that progress he made, even if they're not taking it this far. He tells Lambert that he's not helpless anymore at the end and we know Lambert is "missing" now, so I'd say there's plenty of evidence that he's a capable being as a companion, in his own way.

Well one thing is for sure, all the naysayers who go on about how he is just too ugly to romance would probably be romancing him in secret lol (assuming he's a LI)

Wild speculation? Sure. Try not to think of what sort of tricks 'expert on the fade' LI might....uhm.. practice.

I hope each LI brings something new to the table.  In DAO, only Morrigan and Zevran had to be taught to love and that they are worth loving.  In DA2, EVERYONE needed someone holding their hand and telling them it's okay to feel stuff.  It got tedious.

 

Anders:  I'm possessed, nobody could ever love me!

Fenris: I'm an escaped slave, nobody could ever love me!

Isabella: Love is a weakness, nobody should ever love me!

Merril: I'm a blood mage, nobody could could ever love me!

 

And then Sebastian's was only halfway finished.

 

Me, I romance someone different as per needs of the playthrough.  In DAO it's almost always Morrigan or Alistair, in DA2 it depends on who my warden was or Hawke was (mages Hawkes tend to get Fenris or Anders, for instance.)

An awesome set of armor can fix a lot of flaws. I think if his character is likeable and the mage attire awesome enough, people will forget he's bald.
