Honestly I could care less if Solas is bald or not, I just want him to wear shoes.

 

Well he's wearing boots in the screenshots, if I recall, so it looks like there's hope for that!

As someone who kind of hopes Solas will be available as a romance, as well, I hope everyone doesn't end up disappointed with him turning out to be our Wise Mentor or something.

Sometimes I worry that he's going to end up doing something terrible and we'll look back at this thread and laugh bitterly. Let's hope it's not so!

I, too, have wondered whether or not Solas will do something terrible to undermine the Inquisitor. I have literally no reason to, as we know practically nothing about him, but oh, they have blindsided us and hurt us far too often for there not to be a significant chance of horrible. 

 

Other than that, I look forward to meeting him, although having read The Masked Empire, I totally want him to be Felassan 2. 0, at least personality wise.

Felassen was interesting, but I am not sure he'd make for a good party member.  Actually at first I had the odd notion that he and Solas might be one and the same, but there were many reasons to think otherwise.

 

Could be interesting if Solas had similar philosophies, and given certain things said between Briala and Felassen, it may be possible.

I just liked Felassen's "type". Riddly, vague mentor with a mean/trickster vibe. If he isn't romancable, I would like him to be like Kreia. We haven't had one of those in a BW since... well... ever I guess. Since that was Obsidian.

Ah, yes that might be helpful. I'm starting to realize how frustrating this whole forum must be for people who haven't read the book yet! (I haven't but I spoiled myself anyways).

Honestly, I'm getting a bit tired of the mage companions being the ones who do the most morally questionable stuff (Morrigan and Anders and Merrill). It's just become so predictable now, all of us keeping our eye on the mages all the time as if we don't do that enough outside of the party. If it was a non-mage party member that betrayed us in some way, that would be more exciting. Can we just have some relatively normal mages in our party for once?
