Two quick questions since I'm not going to read 3724 pages. #1) Since I just beat dragon age inquisition last week(took my sweet time) is there anyway to get solas back post game? It doesn't seem to look like you can. #2) Can I still play the dlc post game without solas? I assume I can.

 

You can't.  He'll probably be back for a Wolf Hunt post game DLC.  Yes, you can play the DLC but if Viv is Divine Victoria and you annoyed Dorian too much you'll have to do it sans mages.

Seriously?!  I can't decide if I'm excited that Avvar!Conan is now in my game, or disappointed that I can't make my companions run around shirtless.  Probably a bit of both.

I would definitely decide to be excited that Avaar!Conan is in game Nothing else matters.

So if we get to play the Inquisitor in another game and there are more love interests to choose from, do you think your Lavellan would move on (like Shepard with Garrus/Tali/etc. in ME2 from Kaidan/Ashley/Liara) or would you have her keep searching/hoping for Solas?

 

Honestly? If he had told Lavellan he didn't love her, or that his feelings had changed, I'd feel free to move on, but you could tell he didn't want to end it, didn't really want to leave and that he was hurting as much as she was. My Lavellan figures he did it to protect her. She chose the dialogue "I'm not giving up on you. Whatever you need, we can find together." Until she finds out why or something changes, she still loves him so she'll wait as long as she feels that way.

Is the new big theory of the thread going to be 'everything is Conan' instead of 'everything is elves'?  Because if it is we need Madrar back to write long essays on this topic.

What was bioware thinking of possibly risking the chance of you not having any mages, unless your character is one, or we get a story based dlc mage character.

They probably thought no-one would annoy Dorian that much.  I kind of like the fact that you can end up with no mages.  It's an example of the choices we make affecting our game.  Not having mages = not being able to get into areas that need mages or light veilfire.

Also since this is the Solas thread. Is anyone else excited for the possibility of him being a future enemy for a dlc,expansion, or future DA game? I knew I would like Solas from the begining. He was always so kind and respectful to which I responded the same back. And now possibly having him transform into a friend turned enemy is even more exciting for me story wise. Side note I'm pretty confident we will see flemeth again. You could have killed her in DAO and she had a way back in DA2. So I really do believe we will see her again someday. Bioware can come up with something.

Cutting away content is not a cool thing to have. I accept loosing a mage, but to have no mage at all which would lock you away from certain content is not a good consequence in my own opinion. Its more like a punishment if content is locked away from you unless you have some mage with you, but then you possibly loose all mages .

There are others who are saddened by lack of any serious consequences, whether believing they add to replay value or simply wishing for things to be a little harder or less player-oriented. Developing to please all crowds is something of a tightrope act.

I'm sure it is hard. But the way I see it is like this: Losing a character is fine, getting a unique version A or B secnario is fine, not romancing someone is fine, having all characters of a certain class who benefit in combat, and needs to unlock areas in which you could have done at any other time throughout the whole game is not fine.

Thanks for that reminder, and I 100% disagree with biowares choice on that. I was happy to have a rouge Warden and it does suck that in those cases you could be locked from more content.

Ahh yes, I like this. Wife finds out, doesn't get mad just takes the child and says it's her own to avoid embarrassment.

 

Would give another reason why he's interested in spirits and such. It's in the blood. Love it.
