I don't think my Lavellan wants to forget either. Even though she is heart broken, she learned a lot from Solas. She doesn't want to forget all that. She also doesn't want to forget what it felt like to be loved. She never had that feeling before. It made her stronger. And she knows he still loves her. That helps.

Mine knows there's more. She knows he loves her, but there's so much left unanswered/unsaid. She doesn't want to forget, but she has friends and she takes comfort in knowing that she has gone through the end of love before. One of her best friends in the clan was also once her first love. so, in the face of uncertainty in this, she's sad and has many questions, but she does her duties and it's not going to destroy her. Cole always knows her pain, as he does.

Jaws of Hakkon helped get my Lavellan over her lowest point. She's still worried about Solas and she still misses him. But she's got a measure of peace after the DLC.
I'm starting to wonder if I should do Jaws of Hakkon after Solas leaves. I wasn't going to since I want to hear his banter... but it might be good for my Lavellan to go out and do something after he leaves.

I played it from a pre-Mythal save, then decided I liked the story better as post-game. When I eventually replay my Lavellan, I'll play it as post-game.
He has some interesting comments and one rather funny moment, but nothing specific to the romance or super substantial.

Hmm. I'd put it at about 5-7, depending on how interested you are in the Avvar people. A lot of it is them and their religion. The rest of the lore contains interesting tidbits from all over the place. No dwarf lore, I'm afraid.

That's exactly where it all begins though. I seem to need an emotion or an emotional moment to write and then I wrap everything else around.

I thought that many of his comments
were good to have, so I would recommend playing at least once with him. I had my usual Solas, Cassandra, and Dorian for a while, then swapped Dorian for Cole, who did his usual addition of feels and observations. I will say that if you're a player who has done Cassandra's personal quests, definitely bring her along. She has a pretty great moment.

My Warden pretty much embodies the Knight in Sour Armor trope nowadays. She's seen too much crap to really believe in heroes. And my Hawke is a walking, talking, blood-magic-ing terrorist disaster. Which made all her protests against blood magic hysterical; I figure she was just following the official line really loudly so the Inquisition wouldn't execute her for all the trouble she's caused.

Well, you'll love JoH then. 
It's a fun DLC anyway, but I loved getting to know more of the Avaar. They really were well portrayed and didn't feel like just another faction in the game.
I tend toward a couple of different flavors of hero, so my three canon lady rogues all share that in common. For dagger-wielding rogues, they're pretty decent people. 
edit: Trying multiplayer again. Duelist is a LOT better than the default classes, and it feels more natural to me while I attempt to unlock Assassin.

Provided they're okay with weak, flighty nerd types, I get along much better with the likes of the Avvar than the Orlesians.
I always approve when 'barbarian' cultures in fiction are given actual culture and complexity.
The only JoH spoiler I've come across was a dialogue about how the Avvar treat mages.

Nothing, he's kind of sadly relieved and you merely tell him he's a good friend. He'll tell you you throw him off so easily, "even here", then it goes into the ...wake up bit.
