Okay, you've convinced me.  I'll give it a go.  I suppose it's at least good I won't be surprised at how frustrating the ending is, so there's that.

Shakespeare had characters who were noble, refined or educated, speak in this style (while commoners, for example, spoke in normal prose).

 

It would be pretty symbolic if Solas spoke in iambic pentameter. For example, Caliban, a half-demon slave, speaks in iambic pentameter which is all kinds of interesting because you would expect prose from his social class. It would be like a hobo walking up to you and speaking like a king.

Shakespeare is one of the few things I could never get into reading... Hmm...

I suppose I could also point out that according to his Wikipedia and IMDB entries, Mr. David-Lloyd is a theater-trained actor and has performed in several Shakespeare plays on stage.

 

So, likelihood increased.
